One of the nice ones, this hotel is new and sparkling clean. We had a 2 bedroom unit, both with clean clean clean en suites. Beds, lounge etc very comfy, noise levels not a problem and staff very friendly. Facilities were also super, only complaint was the pool was in the shade all afternoon (great if you don't like the sun). Staff were very friendly and helpful and the security fantastic (have to swipe to get anywhere). Loved our 2 night stay and will definitely return +++++++

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor and had no complaints at all. All rooms appear to have a view of the passage (water)

Stayed at the Monaco with friends for a last minute weekend away. The place was excellent. The rooms are spacious and modern with full kitchen and large fridge. The balcony we had was overlooking the water and we were high up so had a lovely view. It also overlooks the shipping channel so at night we would regularly see cruise ships coming past. Lovely breezes. The price of the rooms were very reasonable for what you got. Lovely pool area with spa, shallow kids pool and long deeper pool. Plenty of shade if you needed it. It was also protected from the wind which was excellent given it was a windy weekend. The Friday night markets are just below you on the esplanade and worth a walk around. There are also restaurants in the same location. You are also just near the Gelati store which sells some of the best gelati I have eaten. Dinner at the Blue Orchid is highly recommended. A lovely weekend away!!

Our family stayed in a two bedroom unit on level 7. It was the most amazing room and looked exactly the same as their website.

Right from the moment we booked with Emma, we felt confident our seven night holiday would be great ... and we were not disappointed.

Like other reviewers, I think we paid a good rate being it was school holidays.

The facilities are all great - the gym, pool area, the foyer of the resort - all clean and well looked after. The service of the resort staff is exceptional.

There are heaps of restaurants to suit all budgets within a three minute walk from the resort. We ate out each night and found the service to be excellent at every place.

We normally stay at Mooloolaba (this was out first time to Caloundra), but found this a much more relaxing holiday and you would pay twice the amount to have a room of a similar standard at Mooloolaba (and twice the amount for very average restaurants with poor service).

The location is great if you don't want to go to Kings Beach each day. Bullcock beach isn't really a beach and the fast flowing channel makes it difficult to swim at. So if a beach is REALLY important, you have a 10 minute walk or a short drive.

As a family, we like 4.5 to 5 star accommodation and this meets the mark!

Thanks Monaco and thanks Caloundra ... we will be back.

Room Tip: The higher room you get, the better. We had an end room so had views to the east which I think was also a bonus.

My husband, newborn baby and I stayed for 10 days over Christmas at a very reasonable rate - cheaper than other hotels/apartments in the area that are much older and without such a sensational view. Our 1 bedroom on the 10th floor had spectacular views over the passage. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to stay here again.

The apartment was modern and spotlessly clean and looked exactly like the photos on the website. It was spacious and had all the essentials for a longer stay. It was also very quiet, we never heard our neighbours at all and had very little street noise from below. We found our stay to be very relaxing. We spent hours on our balcony gazing out at the wonderful view. Monaco is in a terrific location, close to everything so you don't need the car. Lot's of great cafe's and shops and right by the boardwalk for a great walk around the beaches.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely and we also used the BBQ area which was very clean. We never had to wait long for the lifts. We had the apartment serviced half way through the stay and the staff which was great. We didn't even need to use the aircon as the apartment had a lovely breeze to keep it cool.

In regard to some of the other reviews about being bitten by sandflies - I did get a few bites but it is not the fault of Monaco, the apartments are right by the bullcock beach so there is not much you can do about it. This is one of the downsides of being in such a lovely spot. My husband and baby didn't get bitten at all though which is great. And a few little itchy bites were well worth the views and proximity to the beach for us.

I would have requested to stay longer if we could! We loved it and will definitely be back. I have already been recommending Monaco to friends and family, we got an amazing apartment for a great price over peak season. Make sure you ask for a room on a higher level though to make the most of the view, down low would look into the neighbouring apartments. The view on higher levels is too good to miss. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high level to maximise your view.

This resort would take some beating. Everything in this resort is of the highest quality, from the teacups to the wonderful comfortable bed. Absolutely everything has been thought of and provided. It was spotlessly clean ,new ,roomy and bright.
The staff were friendly, efficient and really helpful.and the view was to die for, sitting on the huge balcony sipping a glass of red and watching the sun go down over the water, waiting for the moon to rise. And then strolling along the front to a choice of restaurants for dinner. No need to drive, everything is in walking distance. Sunday morning brought a lively and varied street market just a short stroll away. And if you feel like cooling off the pool is perfect..
We will certainly go again.

Room Tip: We had the ninth floor which was fantastic but I would expect the higher the better .
