The Village at Burleigh Heads
Reviewed February 21, 2014

Stopped to stay here for 2 days - would have loved to stay longer! Very well appointed large two bedroom apartment with all amenities. Close to bars and shops and a stones throw away from the beach. The swimming pool was warm with an excellent spa and an area for those who want a barbecue. Safe locked parking under apartments.
Would definitely recommend these apartments and the warm hospitality of Sheila and David who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Recently my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Village at Burleigh Heads. Our stay was during the busy Christmas New Year period and it could not have been more enjoyable. The unit was large, light , airy, clean, modern, air conditioned, quiet and with a view of the sea! The Managers were friendly and most helpful. We highly recommend the Village to couples and families alike where you wish to be in gorgeous surroundings right in the heart of Burleigh Heads in a safe secure environment. We will go back.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back that have a view of the sea are wonderful.

It's taken me a little while to write this review, as we stayed back in September 2013, but I'll still rave about it! Sheila and David went out of their way to make our visit both memorable and trouble-free. In fact, they provided us with so many little extras, the deal we got was really exceptional value. We had an executive apartment, beautifully furnished and with everything we needed. With the units being right in the heart of Burleigh Heads itself, I was worried we would get traffic noise and/or a view of roads and carparks, etc. Not so! It was quiet inside the apartment, the view from the loungeroom took in the trees on the hill behind the complex, and we had a great view of the ocean from our bedroom. The main bedroom had stacks of storage space, and the kitchen was really well-equipped. We didn't use the pool as it was still a little chilly; however, it always looked nicely maintained, as did the grounds. Our only complaint was the stairs. There were 5 of us (mostly scuba divers) plus one 2 year-old. As you can imagine, we had a lot of stuff to cart up and down 3 flights of stairs every day! That said, we knew this would be an issue when we booked, and the rest of the facilities and stay certainly made up for this relatively minor negative. The only other quibble we had was with some of the cafes and shops in Burleigh -- what used to be a pretty family-friendly place is now a bit too trendy at times. In some of the upmarket boutiques, the assistants can't be bothered even to say 'hello', and when we went in search of breakfast one morning, it took us 4 tries before we could find a cafe with either a highchair or seating which would accommodate a small child. (If you want the child-friendly option, go to Connors, one of the closest cafes to The Village.) To sum up, we'd definitely stay again -- the location is brilliant and the managers are really lovely.

We planned this as a quick getaway for the kids. The standard rooms are tired but great for looking over the kids in the pool. Spacious and great with air con. Location was handy to the beach with rates being very reasonable. This location for a Gold Coast apartment was very quiet. I would definitely come back again with the kids. Would try a luxury apartment next time if traveling without children.

We stayed at the Village for a week, nice spacious apartment on 1st floor with balcony overlooking the pool so we could keep an eye on the kids (not young ones), great quiet location with a short stroll to beach and shops, lovely management and perfect weather to top off a lovely holiday. Would stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The Villa was ground floor and although we would have love a higher floor with view on this occasion the villa was so well equipped and the village was so handing to both restaurants and the beach we were stoked. Great to stay in an apartment that actually has all you could want in crokery, cutlery and appliances - right down to stubbie holders. The 9:30 check out was a bit of a shock but a two hour extension seemed no problem to the friendly manager. FInal note the gardens and pool were really superb even the cushioned sun lounges were a treat.

We were surprised to find we'd been upgraded to a garden villa - it was huge and had everything we could have possibly needed for a Coast getaway.
The Villa is clean, secure and really quiet. It was large enough to have people over for dinner and is in a perfect location for just parking your car and walking everywhere. Loved it!
