We couldn't have booked a better appartment the staff were great , the location great close (50 meters) to the beach , good local restaurants and the kids just loved the pool . After looking at maybe 50 places on the net all our concerns had disappeared as soon as we walked in the door .

The 3 bedroom apt we booked was clean and well furnished for a family stay (except for toiletries such as soap which was minimal).

When I booked, I asked about air-conditioning and was told that the apt was air-conditioned, but when we checked-in, we found that only the living room was air-conditioned. All 3 bedrooms only had ceiling fans, which was a letdown since we expected air-conditioning (especially important during these warm months).

It is right next to Gold Coast Highway, which is both good and bad. Good in that travelling to other areas of Gold Coast is convenient, and bad in that it can be noisy (especially since we had to open the windows as there was no air-conditioning in the bedrooms).

But overall, for the cost, I would say that it is value for money.

This is the second time we have stayed at this accommodation and I think it is a great place to stay. Good value for money. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and it was quite spacious. There is an ensuite with a separate bathroom/laundry. We stayed in apartment 2 which had a nice large balcony that caught the sun up until around 3pm by which time we'd had enough of the sun for the day and enjoyed the shade. There is secure underground parking and a nice small heated pool which was never crouded. It is a stones throw from a nice beach.

For those expecting luxury, look elsewhere. Those wanting clean, comfortable self catering accommodation then we recommend this place. Yes, the carpets could do with an industrial clean (a little marked in some places) and the decor is probably about 10 years old, but it is excellent value for money in our eyes.

We choose this apartment complex through my partners work which has a discounted rate available with this property and it seemed to be in a handy location and a reasonable rate.

We found the owners really friendly (they are fellow kiwi's) and as we hadn't confirmed our arrival time they had left clear instructions at the complex for us.

The complex was obviously built a while ago (i.e. not a huge flash highrise apartment) but we found that it was really convenient and even timed it that the Burleigh Markets were on the day after we arrived which is held at the bottom of the street on the esplanade.

We found the location to be handy with Burleigh Heads township about a couple of minutes walk, the beach approx. 50-100m away and easy access to the main tourist routes with buses going practicaly past the front door regularly.

The esplanade at Burleigh Heads has an amazing array of exercise stations for people to use free of charge as well for those of you that are exercise orientated.

We were kindly offered a 3 bedroom apt as no 2 beddroom apt left for the same price.

We didn't find it as plush as previous review's but it was reasonable.

The apt was a good size.

We found the kitchen grubby with a dirty hob top, the fridge had seen it's day although it worked. It had very old fashioned crockery,

Even though the decor appeared recently painted, it was rather old fashioned. The living room had a ghastly burnt orange colour on the main wall and the setee's were conservatory setee's so not particularly comfortable.

Saying all that, the beds were one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in. Very clean smelling sheet's and towels which was great.

The area was nice as it was away from the hussle and bussle of surfers paradise.

Burleigh Heads consisted of a few pleasant eateries and bars.

Had no problems with public transport as buses dropped off either within a 2 min walk or literally at the entrance of the apt block.

Overall, for the cost, it was fine. If your used to 4* or above accommodation it may not be for you. We normally reside in nice places, and we found this apt to be apsolutley fine for our needs.

We travelled to the Gold Coast from Perth, and arrived quite late at night. There isn't a 24 hour reception, so our room keys were left on a table on the balcony.
The apartment was spacious and clean, and plenty of space for us and our 3 kids to spread out.
The resident managers were very helpful. Our washing machine broke down, and they replaced it with a new one the next day.
The apartments are just across the road from the beach. The beach is very big, with a lifeguard patrolled area close to the cafes.
The only down side to the apartments was the swimming pool. It was quite small and too deep for my kids to go in. It was 2m deep in places.
Burleigh Heads is quiet compared to Surfers Paradise, and it was difficult to eat out at night without having to drive somewhere.
