Protected by the southern headland the beach is always pleasant and very popular. Parking can be a trial if you arrive late morning, but not an issue if you come via the Surfside buses that ply the Gold Coast Highway. There is an abundance of cafes and shops just across the road and accommodation is also close at hand. There is also a large parkland area right adjacent to the beach with BBQ's and gazebo's if you are an early riser or patient and eat a late lunch.
