Not the best Indonesian I have ever had, but what our choices In Sydney !!! Not many as their is only a handful to choose from so its very hard to be boastful or negative !!

Therefore overall even when you do take into consideration that fact, the food is still very good and tasty. Would recommend it as a let's try something different. But not as a romantic night out, lacks a little atmospere. Try the skewers

Nice feel to the place, helpful and friendly service. Had a great Beef Rendang - meat just right, and Nasi Goreng tasted excellent. Reasonable value.

I ate at Jimbaran last night. The staff and ambience is terrific. Efficient, quick and friendly service. you can hear each other talk without eavesdropping on the table next to you. We looked at the menu and were slightly disappointed that most of the entrees were deep fried so we opted to share a Gado Gado which I have to say was the meanest size little gado gado we've ever had in an indonesian restaurant - Ratu Sari is about twice the size for the same money. But as it was only an entree it didn't really matter. We then opted to shared their stirfried prawns and vegetables which were completely delicious. We ordered whole snapper in yellow sauce as well. Not this was weird. The sauce was completely delicious but because they had butterflied the fish and then put it back on the plate as whole - we could not fillet the fish properly so every mouthful had bones - if you keep the fish whole you can work you way around the bones. The fish was also not scaled properly - one can forgive a scale or two around the head/gills but we had scales all over the dish which as I said was impossible to fillet in a nice way so every mouthful had to be chewed carefully with hands over face to remove offending pieces. Now this wasnt just us, the next table had a deep fried snapper and they were also having the same problems, and strugging with the dish. So lazy chef - delicious dish but do it in a way diners can eat it comfortably.

A gem in the neighbourhood. Definitely worth a visit. Fantastic food! Recommend the crispy fried chicken and crispy duck.
