Saturday night dinner. Restaurant full but open plan does not encroach. Great room with tall ceiling. Service was excellent. All the food we had was delicious. Wines were not overpriced. Definitely one of the pick places to dine in Leura.

I have eaten here many times over 15 years and have never come away disappointed. The service is informed, friendly and enthusiastic. The food is delicious, seasonal, imaginative, using premium quality ingredients sourced from NSW.
The little attention to detail is lovely. When I mention it was our wedding anniversary on our last visit when booking we were surprised with our dessert plates decorated with chocolate Happy Anniversary tastefully (in every sense!) around the edge.
As a keen cook I love leaving here with respect for the skill of the kitchen and waiting staff for a complete professional team service.
Treat yourself and go here at least once!

We eat here infrequently but ventured out on our last night before the youngest child returns from a week-long school camp. Restaurant is located on the main shopping street in Leura and given the premium on parking, we lucked in with a spot outside. Room is medium sized with a high ceiling, classic black and white tiled floor, with a generous configuration and good-sized tables. The room allows you to be in the moment with other diners if you wish - i.e., the muted applause for our waiter's dancing back to the servery and happy badinage between tables of complete strangers - or of the moment when you don't want to engage with others. Service is prompt and warm and it is obvious that these people take pride in their mission and love their work. The menu is concise yet offers a dish catering for all tastes. We didn't have openers. Mains are reasonably priced and arrive at the table in good time and were delicious as usual. Had a pasta dish and my wife had Duck Confit. Instead of the pack them in and get them out quickly mentality of some Mountains restaurants, our hosts enquired as to when we would like our dessert. This kind of attention to detail and guest comfort is very much appreciated and the hallmark of the decent service that brings us back here over the years. Desserts are cool, crisp, and minimalist yet astute in their flavours. Portion size for dinner and dessert was just right. Alcohol roster is alive with possibilities and well-matched to the menu. This is a lovely place to relax, enjoy dinner, and escape for awhile.

During our stay in the Blue Mountains in June of 2012, we went for dinner one night at Silk's Brasserie.

Located right on the mains street of Leura, Silk's was a short drive from where we were staying.

The interior of the restaurant has an unusual style of decor, but the food, wine list and service were very good indeed.

The food was very nicely presented, and we chose a nice bottle of red (one of our favourites from Henschke) to go with it.

We were happy with the service, and the food was delicious, and well worth it.

We decided to leave a generous tip. Later that night, we received a call from Stewart, the manager, advising that we'd left far too much money (as it turns out, by error). Stewart was kind enough to offer to drop off the excess money at our hotel; we found it tucked under our door the next morning. Exceptional service, and completely unexpected.

We really appreciated his honesty, and the fantastic service and meal provided by his staff.

As I understand, Silk's is very popular, so booking is essential.

Be sure to book early, I booked a number of days earlier. They turned down many people while we were there.
