Thankyou Denise & Larry for a great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Lovely clean bathroom, hot shower, nice deep bathtub, great brekkie, good ole fashioned hospitality. A nice personal touch using everyones names to greet them Denise, Larry, thanks for the perfect poached eggs and the chocolate rose. Its difficult to please everyone in this industry, but we think your house is just tops, and we wouldn't hesitate to come and stay again.

We travelled 12000 miles to see the wonderful scenery of the blue mountains and upon recommendation booked a two night stay at Leura House. Sadly the stay turned out to be very disappointing. Upon arrival we were greeted cordially enough and were, we thought at the time, kindly invited to dine with Denise and Larry that evening, during our meal pressure was applied to buy some very overpriced bus tickets we resisted and were met by a very sullen attitude, in as much as the conversation became very stilted and Larry left our company to drink in another bar in the restaurant making us feel very awkward.
Things didn't get any better during the course of the stay, there were not hot breakfasts offered, Denise refused to make up our room on the second day, the room was dusty, there were offensive notices placed in the room advising us of the consequences of leaving lights on and misuse of linen all with reference to their bank balance.
The breakfasts were roor and sparse with tired cereals and fruit no saucers for cups and only just enough bread put out for toast, we even had to ask for hot water for tea. Upon reflection we should have asked for a refund or on the first evening sought other accommodation.

I cannot say anything good about out stay at Leura House which is a shame as the property itself is lovely what it need is managers that are aware of their guests and are service orientated which, in our experience, Denise and Larry are not.

Thank you Denise and Larry for welcoming us to your lovely heritage home. We very much appreciated the assistance you offered to us given that we had arrived by train. Being able to check in early and not having to carry our overnight gear all day while we explored the wonderful Blue Mountains was most helpful. We enjoyed dinner and a glass of wine with you both. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms most spacious. We will be back - I hope!

Recently my sister and spent a very enjoyable night at Leura House. It is a splendid house and Larry and Denise were welcoming and accommodating, making us feel at home. Nothing was a bother, and as a result our visit to the Blue Mountains was really enjoyable and relaxed. Just what we wanted! Thank you both, and to the lovely dogs (and apologies, as I have forgotten their names) as well!

What a beautiful house. 130 years old and in immaculate condition. The atmosphere & the food are out of this world. We had our annual Abraham family reunion here on the long weekend and the hosts could not have been more friendly. I would highly recommend Leura house to anyone who wanted to stay in the Blue Mountains.

We found Leura House to be an excellent place to stay when visiting the Blue Mountains and will stay again if we are up this way. We found the rooms to be very comfortable, especially the beds and the hosts very accomodating. Both Denise and Larry made our stay very enjoyable.

Nothing like the photos...decor is run down, cold and over-priced. The website is misleading as it gives the impression that Leura House is a warm, quality establishment.
