Were very hungry so went to this cafe as it appeared reasonable. Was just us and another table so not busy at all. Ordered 2 iced coffees, iced tea, sofdrink, 3 sandwitchs and a burger. Drinks came pretty quick, then we sat there and waited whil it stayed super quiet, one or two other customers came and went still no food. What were they doing, baking the bread? After about 45 minutes when a staff member was walking past we asked how much longer we had to wait, he went to check and...oh sorry we missed your order. How? Oh well the order went up and just got missed but hes making it for you now. I dont think so, we'll just pay for the drinks and get out of here

We really liked the food here and loved the variety on the kids menu but we waited a long time for service and a few people there at the same time actually walked out. It was also quite expensive for what it was. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and was told they didn't have any steak, he was annoyed as there was a butcher on one side of the cafe and a supermarket on the other so there really wasn't much excuse for running out of things!

We stopped in for a quick lunch and had a pleasant hour or so with no shortage of food. We enjoyed the Guinness pie, wedges and potted scones. The atmosphere was relaxed despite being busy and despite the comments of other reviewers we had no problems with the service which was attentive.

The challenge is to eat one scone to yourself! They are the best scones and uniqely served in a small clay pot. Coffee is always great and the service freindly. Sit in the window and watch the world go past while scoffing your scone! You wont need lunch!

Our first day in Leura was a bit bleak. The beef and guinness pie seemed a good option to suit the climate and it was. Very tasty and not long to wait for it.
