“Great B&B Experience in Blue Mtns”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2011

The location is convenient to the train station, the business district, and the cliff walks and park areas. Breakfast is fine and the hosts do everything they can for a great stay.

I took the train from SYD airport to Central and then the Blue Mountain train is about 2 hours to Leura. Its about a 3-4 block walk to the House. After a couple of flights to get there from Minnesota it was great to snooze a bit on the train and have comfy lodging waiting for me.

Very clean and nicely appointed rooms. The towels and linens both had a nice feel to them. The common area was comfortable and filled with resources to help make the most of your stay. It was great to do some reading in the evening with a glass of sherry at hand.

We stayed for a few days - a mid week escape for our anniversary. The Greens was absolutely fantastic, perfect for a short romantic retreat - lovely lavish rooms, huge modern bathrooms (with a great big spa in each) and very yummy breakfasts. Hayley is a great host

Greens is a well run B & B with five double rooms (all with ensuites but only some with spa baths). It is roomy, warm (winter time for us) and welcoming. The breakfast at Greens is comprehensive, yummy and freshly made to order. There is a guest lounge and games room so you can relax or, if you don't want to mingle each of the rooms appears to have a sitting area for reading. The owners are very accommodating and have wonderful advice re eating out options. We tried Pins on Megalong on their recommendation which was just a walk around the corner and had the best meal we'd experienced for ages...and great value.
The location is ideal for poking around the abundant boutiques and galleries in Leura as it is just a block away from Leura Mall. The Hop On Hop Off double deck bus stops just across the road and metres away. That takes you to Katoomba or Wentworth Falls.
We stayed with four other couples from our family and found it an ideal place to gather and celebrate a special occasion.

This place is just great. The people Haley and Richard are just lovely and they made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. I was there with a friend for a girls time out and we enjoyed it all immensley. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable indeed. Some rooms have been refurbished and some are yet to be done but even the room I had that had not been refurbished was very pleasant. It was very nice and cosy in the lounge area with lots of books and puzzles to keep us amused. There was even a pool table - pity I don't play though. All in all, I can recommend this establishment to anyone. Oh, and the breakfast with the lovely warm crossaint was yummy.

Room Tip: The Bronte Room and the Austen Room are excellent

Had a wonderful stay, all things need were provided, maybe a daily paper available for a read would be a nice touch. Breakfast all you can eat and well provided and cooked, Hayley was lovely and you felt just like you were in an English B & B, clean and comfortable would stay again.

Based from the great reviews in TA, we immediately booked the biggest room called Shakespeare with 4 posture bed + spa ensuite bathroom.

The lovely wood scent (I presume its Oak) had us at hello. The room is beautifully decorated with tiny details of mini sonnet books and a pouch with Cadbury chocs as mentioned by the other reviewers.

Oh my, the bathroom is luxury and spotlessly clean, which I totally adore! There are no dental kit or bath salts provided, however there are dispensers for lotion, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner inside. The room and bathroom are made up everyday btw!

Book lovers will be hooked on the huge personal collection of books in the billiard room. Also there are plenty of books and guides on Blue Mountains and if that's not enough, the owner, Hayley will pour every bits of tips on what to do around here. You'll find must-go places like Echo Point, Scenic World and Jenolan Cave to be packed with tourists and kids depending on time and day. We did a few series of small hiking at a few places since we have a car and went to Wentworth Falls, Valley of the Waters and Evans Lookout. Best to go when its sunny and less foggy so you can enjoy the scenery.

Stay is inclusive of daily breakfast which is served from 8 - 9am - wee bit too early for night owl like us, plus the bed was SO comfortable! But fret not, the scrumptious home made croissant, fresh mixed fruits, yogurt, hot, cheesey omelette and oatmeal will keep you off the bed for awhile. If you stay for more than 2 nights, you might find breakfast a little bit repeatable.

Another plus is the wifi, which is very much useful since we need to access emails for work and google. There's a PC in the billiard if you don't bring a laptop.

If you're in the house for tea, you might see some random treats in the dining. Was hoping for a warm spongecake instead got lemon cake instead, but that's alright. All in the game of luck!

Pity with so many things to do OUTSIDE, you'll find that you hardly had ample time to enjoy the room and the house. Having said that, you'll find the bed and the tub much useful after a long day outside :)

And guess what? We got a promo 3 nights free 1 night and we've basically paid $123 per night and for what we get, the price is VERY reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem to others!

Room Tip: Get a meal in Common Ground Cafe, Katoomba

Beautiful presented accommodation. The proprietors are soooo friendly (its unbelievable) Their advice on places to visit are well thought out especially if you have problems with mobility. Their breakfasts are awesome and very well presented. But you have to try and get back for afteroon tea (4-5pm) Home-made light as a feather sponges with amazing fillings. The couple themselves are very friendly and make your visit so relaxing and stress free.
