ordered produce plate at the bar with a bottle of NZ Marlborough Wine and sat outside on the verandah to eat. Food was excellent a good variety and plenty for two for lunch, as well there was nice view of the garden. A great pleasant relaxing place to sit and soak up the atmosphere of the grand old Carrington hotel (one of our favourite places to visit!!)

In terms of grand old buildings, this is a must! Like stepping back in time. Great service, ornate, love to live here and work. Coming back soon.

We didn't reach Katoomba until 3 PM and the bar service area was still doing lunch. You order and pay at the bar, typical of many light dining spots we encountered. There were 4 of us, leek & potato soup, fried prawns and squid, a fish dinner, a salad, a Greeks style mezee plate and good old fashioned fish and chips.

Very nice food and service at the bar and we will surely come back when the Prince of Wales is stopping in with his family!

We were extremely impressed with our dining experience. The food was sensational. Between the three of us we had the fish of the day, fillet of beef and duck as mains and tart tartin and cheese to finish. All meals offered creative yet delicious flavour combinations. The staff were attentive without being in your face. My husband went to the toilet halfway through the meal and they also folded his napkin, placing it back on the table (our sign of a great restaurant). We booked an early sitting (6.30pm) but were not put under any pressure to hurry up at any point so they could squeeze in an extra sitting. Two courses were $48 and three were $65 - great value for money in our opinion. Would highly recommend for a romantic meal or a catch up with family.
This is fine dining at its best!

We came here for high tea to celebrate a family members birthday. The high tea was fabulous and the bar was lovely with lots of expensive(cos of the sheer size and amount of shots) big fancy cocktails. Couches in the back room needs to be thrown out thou
