Long lines for all attractions over the day we spent here, we had to wait for almost an hour or more on some of the rides

Beat the queues during busy times of the year and arrive when our doors open at 9am. You will be ahead of the crowds and most times straight onto the rides. Thank you for your feedback!

Unfortunately the queues for the rail, cable cars etc were very long. Maybe we picked a busy day....it almost ruined it for us. However, the views were just amazing, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Thank you for your review, we are very proud of our staff who like to make each and every visitors experience one to remember. Please come and see us again in the future and take a ride on our brand new railway, still to be the steepest in the world and super exciting!

We took the cableway down to the rainforest first. There is a lot to see, and you can take as much time as you want. Interesting coal mining history. We then went back on the cableway to the Scenic World Centre, and then took the skyway over to the other side. We wanted to do the railway as well, however the new one was under construction when we were there, but is scheduled to reopen in Feb. 2103. I believe. The gift shop was very reasonably priced, and had quite a selection. I would recommend going first thing in the morning when it opens up, as it got busier as the day progressed. Much more peaceful when there are less people around. Would have like to have had more time to walk to the falls, but it didn't work out for us.

Yes the views are lovely, not out of this world amazing just very nice BUT it was busy, Scenic World was totally overcrowded, they couldn't cope, there were no signs saying where to queue and just not worth the effort! If you can go on a day when it's quiet/not so busy then it would be fine but as we are finding with so many things in Australia (if they aren't closed for the holiday or closing around 4pm when all the cafes/museums seem to close), totally overpriced for what you get. Also, many guide books inflate what's in a town/attraction and when you get there they are only open for two to three days a week, usually weekends. Tough if you have travelled miles, so CHECK first!

Thank you for your feedback on your visit recently, I am sorry you didn't find our offerings to your liking. The holiday periods are definitely more busy than other times however we do make sure we are staffed accordingly to make sure our visitors are guided to where they would like or need to be. Along with lots of extra entertainment on the day for the whole family. We are also open every day of the year between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

We went during the Christmas period and so it was probably busier than usual. The crowds were huge, and we spent more time queuing than seeing things. The cable car across the valley is a very quick trip and they stop in the middle so you can take photos etc. The railway car down the hill is very quick and VERY steep (52 degrees) and so possibly a bit scary for young kids. It's over pretty quickly through. You can do three versions of the boardwalk - 10, 30 or 50 minutes I think - but it was pretty busy and noisy so not very enjoyable. On a quiet or normal day, it would be a lovely wander. So, it is worth a visit but go early to avoid the crowds. Many tour buses seem to come up for the day so get there before they do!
