A few choices of walks to view these falls. We chose a 20 minute walk to view the falls looking across at them. We were told by others that had been to a few lookouts this was the best view. It was quite a hard walk (bit unfit) but was truely worth it.

This place is full of beauty and amazing views, there are different walks to explore these points, you can try 30mins to 4hours walk. Park your car near Picnic area or get there by bus and walk through Jasmine lookout and walking track towards Wentworth fall, you may see small cascades depending on weather.

Best time to visit is light rain, do not try this place in heavy rains. If you are trying more than 30mins walk have some food and water with you for quick energy. Keep watching sign boards to follow direction.

We moved to Blue Mountains a few years ago. The first time when we reached the bottom of the upper section of the Wentworth Falls while walking on the National Pass circuit (at present closed due to landslide), it was a short time before sunset. The late sunlight let the rock formation of the falls glowing in a spectacular way and makes this place to one of the most beautiful spots, I have ever seen. If you are lucky enough to stay in the area in the late afternoon of a cloudless day and have no problem to master quite a few hundred steps, don't miss to experience this stunning spectacle by yourself. Arrive at Wentworth Falls picnic area around 1.5 hours before sunset. There is a free car park there (mostly full on weekends but less crowded at early evening) from where it is a 30-40 min walk (many steep stairs!) to the bottom of the Falls. Or walk from Wentworth Falls train station on Darwin Walk (around one hour) to the Wentworth Falls picnic area and further down to bottom the Falls. Don't be late, since when the sun has disappeared, the magic glow will also be gone.

Walks for all levels from the extremely taxing between conservation hut and Wentworth falls to the easy, park and look from a lookout without having to climb a step. Simply stunning views.

The car park is well signed and there is close by picnic area and toilets. The walks to the first of several view points are level and there are options to descend steps and slopes to better views, or the long walk to cross the falls. Wonderful views over the Blue Mountains everywhere!
