We just returned from a 2 night stay - the week after Easter long weekend. Since it was still the school holidays the hotel was very busy with many families with kids - we were a bit surprised by this as it's not really a "family-style" resort. We had a wonderful executive suite - really huge (with completely separate living area) - very nicely furnished with excellent views.
The service was generally very friendly - the only issue was at breakfast where this is some room for improvement - staff seemed very frazzled trying to keep tables cleared and buffet restocked. The breakfast buffet is generally a bit disappointing - not quite 5* but certainly not a reason not to stay here.
We had high tea (with French Champagne) in the lounge one afternoon - wonderful but very pricey at $120 for 2 if you are paying a la carte for it (It was included in the package we had).
We had dinner one evening at Darley's and the other evening at their sister resort across the road, Echo's. Both were excellent - but again quite pricey at a fixed $85 and $75 respectively for 2 courses. But again - I suspect that good restaurants in the Blue Mountains are a bit more expensive than Sydney restaurants.
Anyway - we had a great time and are already planning to return in July.More
