“Great ambience, slow service”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We were a party of 11 adults and 3 children. We booked for 11:30 am with a view to an early lunch. The lounge is open, light, airy, sumptuous and beautifully furnished. The gardens are also beautiful.

The food was well made and presented. The high tea was a bit expensive at $55 for a round of sandwiches and selection of sweets but the sansiches were good and the sweets were plentiful and exquisite. The other lunch options were good quality, substantial and good value.

The problem was the long wait. While this meant that we had more time to chat and enjoy the surroundings, it was not part of our pan. Those of us who had ordered champagne as well as tea with our high tea received neither for some time. Some thought could be given to timing and order of course delivery.

“Great atmosphere and good hotel food”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Took the family to the Lounge on Sunday evening as there was nothing much open in Katoomba. Found a great dining room with lounges and traditional dining tables overlooking the luscious green gardens of the Hotel. Ordered Wagyu beef burger and a chocolate souffle, the wife had the same. Good childrens menu as well. Service was attentive and quick. Food was good hotel fair and very tasty. Souffle was awesome. All in all a great experience!

“Expensive but nicely presented”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Seem to serve everything with chips even though the chips were very good, so new potatoes would have been nice.

“Tired”

Needs seriously sprucing up and better seating for when you're eating as the low couches and tables make things challenging. Could be lovely with some TLC.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you so much for reviewing your recent experience at The Lounge @ Lilienfels Blue Mountains Resort and Spa on Tripadvisor.com

We now use the upper section of the lounge with normal dining tables, for a more upright eating experience. The lounge tables work very well with our traditional High Tea.

I hope you will visit us again on your next visit to Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort and Spa.
