We hired a car in Sydney and made our way to Shelton-Lea arriving late in the evening. Checking into this nice, cosy place after a slow long drive is perfect, you couldn't think of a better place to check into. It was a clear cool night and we have never seen so many stars in the sky. It turned out to be a cold night for us and Paul was really nice, he helped us to light up the fire place at 10pm - ah warm and cosy!

After staying 2 nights here, my kids do not want to leave! It is their first B&B stay and now they probably think all B&B are this nice. I am afraid they will be disappointed in their next B&B stay.
The daughter get to meet and play with Belle before we thanked Jenny and Paul for being such great hosts, departing for Coffs Harbour.

Paul, thanks for your directions and stopover tips to Coffs Harbour, we managed to find our way there without a hitch.

We have just spent three nights at the Shelton Lea with Jenny and Paul, staying in the Bakana Suite. Everything was just perfect, from the moment we booked via the internet to the moment we left to return home. The suite was just lovely, spotlessly clean, very quaint, with beautiful antique furniture, as you would expect for it's location. The bed was large and very comfortable, all mod cons provided inc flat screen TV and DVD player. There were lots of extras that you would only receive in a 5 star hotel. The attention to detail was outstanding. On arriving home each afternoon freshly home baked cakes were left to have with our cuppa! The breakfast was amazing and served in our own dining room... huge portions and choice of menu each day. Tea and coffee making facilities and your own fridge was also a bonus.
Jenny was so helpful with local tips on where to visit, and nothing was too much trouble for her. The location was very close to Echo Point and the Explorer bus stop was almost outside the door. About a 10-15 minute walk into town, we hired a car as my hubbie is waiting for a knee operation so couldn't walk too far, but normally this wouldn't have been a problem
If you are visiting the Blue Mountains don't stay anywhere else.....

Room Tip: Any of the three suites would be OK.

What a great weekend escape for any Sydney sider. Just a lovely peaceful atmosphere with good old fashioned service & comfort in a meticulously decorated room and a relaxing spa to boot. The location is central to everything you would want to see and do. I am a fussy eater and I can recommend the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon for breakfast which is to die for! Thank you to Paul & Jenny for going out of their way to assist make the weekend a great one!

It ended up by chance that we stayed just one night at this gorgeous b&b in the heart of Katoomba, but I am so glad we discovered such a gem. Called for a room last minute when another local b&b had accidentaly cancelled the booking I had made weeks prior for the perfect birthday getaway for my partner (eek!). Jenny, our gracious host, welcomed us into the gorgeous Amaroo suite which was divine. After a day hiking and the stress of the mix up, the dvd supply and spa bath were just what we needed to unwind! Such a beautiful, cosy, relaxing room with the luxuriousness of all the amenities! Don't miss this one!

Room Tip: Amaroo suite is the largest with a spa bath - we loved our stay

We were sleeping in the Amaroo suite. The room was just amazing, with a spa bath and an open fire! The B&B is really good situated, at walking distance from the Katoomba station, the Scenic World and the Three Sisters. Thank you so much Jenny. We recommend it.

We stayed two nights at this B&B in the Blue Mountains, in their Studio room. This room isn't on their website but Jenny sent us photos when she wrote to say that they had a room available.

The room was a separate dwelling with a shower, comfortable queen size bed, flat screen TV, lounge chairs and an additional single bed. There was a kitchenette with breakfast materials available for the next morning.

The dwelling and garden are all very pretty as per website photos. It was easy to walk from here to the restaurants on the mainstreet, to take an early morning walk to the mountain sights and a drive to Leura nearby.

Jenny was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
