Hubs and I splurged and ate here for dinner. Total for 2 with 2 courses each, a glass of wine, 2 scotches and a coffee = $212. What I suggest is getting the 2 courses, and then splitting the entree and the dessert- each having your own main. I had the barramundi which was cooked perfectly- crispy skin, tender and very moist. Hubby had the tenderloin of beef- it was gorgeous. Medium rare, thick, just really perfect. Dare I say- the best steak I've had in a LONG time in Australia. Service is attentive, and the view is divine. Try to arrive before sunset to catch it - it's quite lovely.

We ate here when staying at the hotel. Though I'd recommend the hotel, skip the restaurant. The minimum order is $85 per person for two courses, which is what you'd pay at a top Sydney restaurant with incredible food, service and decor. The scallop entree was watery and tasteless and served with strange and bland accompaniments I couldn't identify - I couldn't finish it; the pate entree was miserly in the quantity of pate but with too much soggy bread; the lamb and barramundi mains just ordinary, and the wrong dish was originally delivered to our table, with an embarrassed kind of unannounced plonking down, as if they knew it was the wrong dish and were seeing whether we would send it back. Definitely skip this place.

If you want the best combination of fine dining and great views in the mountains, this is the place for you.

However, it's pricey - i.e. Sydney pricey!!
