I had an enjoyable meal in this popular restaurant. Mussels as starter were small but a good ratatouille based sauce was tasty. I had slow cooked pigs belly for mains and it was good but not great. The strawberry tart for dessert was very fresh and tasty. Unlike my
Sydney restaurants experience the wine was reasonably priced
And the meal was reasonable value

Nothing spectacular, but good honest food at a good price. We were both looking for a steak that night and we weren't disappointed. Could have done with a bit better wine selection by the glass.

Very busy pub on the main street, due to the fact that in my opinion Katoomba is lacking in bars/pubs (there are only 3). We arrived mid afternoon and were able to get a seat at the bar, which is where we stayed for a few hours. We enjoyed the atmosphere and playing Uno (a number of board games are available). The food was better than average but not fantastic.

We arrived close to 9pm on a Friday night but were welcomed in by friendly staff. We had a very, very good meal here. Chilli prawns entree fabulous. Roast vege stack & beef & Guinness pie were very tasty and large in size. Dessert got a big tick. The music afterwards (downstairs) was hilariously bad!

Located at the entrance to The Carrington, the Old City Bank Brasserie will satisfy the hungriest of travellers. The historical warmth is matched by a diverse menu that delivers. From the pork belly to pizza, each bite was delicious. We ate here twice and will return again.
