“Relaxing Holiday”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We stayed for 2 nights at the cottage and it was a very nice experience. The cottage is secluded in a bush setting. ...but we did not seen the brumbies. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We went for a 2 hour horse riding on Sat morning. Worth to visit.

“Very challenging ride for beginners”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

We had a good day on the dayride - met there at 9am, but by the time we got going it was about 10am...had a long lunch at a fire near a creek and was back by about 4.30pm. The property is mostly bush, and the route that we were taken on through the bush meant a lot of dodging branches, and riding up and down steep hills, and across creeks. I didn't think this was suitable for a beginner rider at all. They didn't really give enough instruction to start with for a beginner, and just assumed the horse would follow or the people would steer the horses well enough.
Would be a lovely place to ride after fresh snow (although more hazardous I assume!), which they occasionally get.
It was a pleasant day though, and the accommodation was quite nice, I would stay again.
(Bit weird that they don't like their resident wombats though, as they 'damage' the bush for their horses...um, the wombats were there first, give them a break! It's sad to see how many get killed on the roads around the mountains so they should be happy to have them living safety there, I would have thought.)
Oh, and you'll have to pay extra $10 for boot hire if you don't have suitable riding shoes.

“A wonderful area for an outride!”
Reviewed June 4, 2012 via mobile

With wild brumbies roaming around, inspiring views and beautiful streams, I cannot explain how wonderful the experience was. Hope to come back once the season re-opens for the longer rides. Thanks Justin and AJ!
