Three of us visited a new cafe in Forster today called "Little Lucifer". It has very casual but comfortable decor and is opposite Wallis Lake. We chose to order from the Tapas part of the menu and this proved to be a great decision for lunch. Each serving was delicious and the portions generous. As previous reviewers have said, the prawns with chocolate sauce were a delight. We decided to order them because it seemed a bizarre combination and therefore were intrigued as to what they would be like. We loved the combination. We also ordered plates of fried potatoes (which also included some sweet potatoes); flathead and finally squid. All were delicious and certainly left us feeling well fed.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming and went out of his way to be helpful and attentive to our needs. If only all cafe/restaurant owners realised that a pleasant, friendly attitude goes a long way with their customers.
As a local in the area, it is great to have "Little Lucifer" in Forster. It is different from the other cafes in that you can choose to have normal sized meals or order from the tapas menu for the added enjoyment of experiencing a variety of different tastes.
Having owned a renowned Sydney cafe/restaurant, I feel I am a fair judge of what makes a successful cafe. I am pleased to recommend this cafe to all those who want something a bit different.

We had dinner and breakfast at Little Lucifer and the food was great both times and the staff were very friendly. We had a long wait for breakfast but the manager gave us a complimentary drink each which was lovely. The only reasons we didn't give a Very Good rating were the wait on breakfast and no water was offered to us at either meal. Would go back again.

Had dinner here last night with hubby to celebrate our anniversary while visiting forster. This place deserves it's number one spot on tripadvisor for restaurants in Forster. We had a selection of the tapas, it was fresh, tasty and inventive. Highly recommend the prawns with chocolate sauce, and the oysters with the wasabi mayo are simply amazing! The staff and owners are really friendly, chatty and happy to help. It was a really pleasant evening, yummy, food, good atmosphere and not expensive, especially given the quality of the food which was great. Only disappointing part was that they had run out of a couple of the dishes on the menu, however the ones we ordered were fab so I couldn't mark them down for this! Only other suggestion would be to consider adding a couple of carb based dishes, most seemed to be protein based, and didn't quite fill hungry hubby (we simply ordered a couple more dishes so this was fine!) but maybe consider including a rice or grain based dish, or a mix of breads etc? Just a thought! Lovely restaurant, great night, if you're in Forster add this to the must visit list! We will be back next time in the area.

Casually sophisticated, great fun, great location, great people. Friendly fun service. Interesting tapas menu. Good quality fresh ingredients. Snapper skewers with tomato and herb salsa, tomato and feta salad, vege chimchunga. Wine list a work in progress (Newly licenced). Loved the music too.

Foster has somewhere cool to eat! This little place has a great fit out , and perfect location by the riverside. Food is modern and innovative with excellent share plates and interesting combinations......beef cheeks were fantastic as was the haloumi.
Now licensed I believe
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Forster desperately needs more of this sort of eatery so I hope it gets the support it deserves.
We really enjoyed the big old dining tables and comfy chairs, which gave the restaurant a very homey feel- we will be back!
