I have eaten at Bee on Boardwalk a few times over the past two years and every time the food was always great, service was quick and efficient and staff were friendly. The last time I dined was over the New Year period in which the cafe was run off its feet. Every table was full and there were only two wait staff that we could see. We ended up waiting for over an hour for our food and drinks which was annoying but let me assure you that this is the first slow service that I have experienced at Bee. I really recommend everyone giving it a try, we will definitely be back next time we visit Forster!

We were served by a staff member who seemed overwhelmed by serving a few people. She was rude and we had to wait over 10 minutes for a takeaway coffee.

My family and I visited Bee on Boardwalk during the summer break. Bee has a beautiful outlook and we were drawn to the cafe as it was fresh and open with a bar facing the lovely lake. We received lovely service from the young lady who waited on us, and the drinks we ordered were refreshing; however these were not exceptional. Unfortunately, the service we received from one gentleman working there ruined the experience for us, and we will not be returning.
We were treated with slight hostility from some staff, which may have been due to particular dietary needs of one of our group, or because we were a larger group (9 people) with a baby (or maybe the heat got to him!).

What really shocked us was a waitress placing a "Reserved" sign on the table we were seated at, and letting us know without any apology or courtesy that we would "...need to leave by 1pm at this table is booked". Of course this is standard practice; however the reservation was over an hour 1/2 away! We perceived this as a not-so-subtle hint for us to leave.

Although we had a young baby with us, I didn't think we were especially loud or fussy with our order. Yet, even if we were, that is no excuse for poor, rude service.

The above, coupled with the disgruntled manner of the male staff member (who we saw roll his eyes/raise his eyebrows at us), ruined the experience for us and we will not be returning.

Lovely location and again, the young lady who served us was fantastic. However, Bee on Boardwalk is let down by poor service from senior staff.

It was the holiday season and we decided to try here for breakfast. They were busy and we were told about 45minues for service. The menu was good and had plenty to choose from. Meal portions were generous. Our tea and coffee took about 20 minutes to be delivered to the table and our meals about an hour. I had the eggs Benedict and theirs is served with Parmesan on top, I did find this a bit overpowering for this dish. Overall, I would give them another go and hopefully the service will be better.

Were up visiting from the central coast for a holiday when we popped in after a cafe around the corner had a 20 min wait for brunch. Found Bee after a short walk around the corner, and we are now happy we walked from the other place! Located directly across from the water, the location is stunning, and the food and service even better. Staff were so friendly and our meals were such great value. We all found it difficult too choose a everything sounded so delicious. Cost was under $25 a head for brunch including generous servings of our meals, coffees and juices. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!
