“Refreshing”

You sometimes wonder when away from a metropolitan centre what quality the coffee will represent. Forster has always been something of a lucky dip but now with Tartt on the scene a new standard has been set.

Had a light lunch and coffee here on a recent visit and whilst paying more than normal for Forster we found the fare appetising and the the existence of 'cold drip' coffee on the menu had our daughter fair buzzing.

Located on the bridge end of the main drag the outdoor seating on a cold winter's day was great in the sun and the service was prompt and friendly.

“Sea Change”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Living in the city has its perks to the availability of coffee. But what does one do when they leave the city? The withdrawals begin. Coming from living in the CBD of Sydney and its many coffee brands and cafes that roast their own beans, you start to think that anywhere out of the city can't meet the standards, until you come across a place named Tartt. Travelled from the city one weekend and realised a new place had opened up. Went in and ordered my usual which lived up to my expectations because of the single origin coffee they had to offer from 5 senses in Melbourne. Besides popping in for a coffee and macaroon, I had a chance to talk to the owners who are both extremely passionate about their business and what quality coffee means to them. Coffee varies all the time, but owners like that strive to improve and give their best. It's a funky Melbourne style cafe that stands out from the beach themed cafes around town. Love their work (and synesso machine) and will definitely be back in my next coastal visit.

“Sunny, bright cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

A lovely little cafe, perfect when the sun is out. It has outdoor seating, not a lot inside but adequate.
The service is quick and very nice.
It's a really nice cafe and certainly a must for young and old. We go quite regularly and it has always been good.

“Family run and passionate about coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Our favourite watering hole in Forster.
A family run establishment with a passion for coffee, which shows in the end product. Friendly and attentive, with a broad mix of customers. Service can be a bit erratic but this more than made up for by the ambience. Wide selection of fresh food, cakes and pastries available, which I'm told is very good, but we've yet to try it. Intend to sample the Eggs Benedict before we leave!
Mick and his staff at Tartt leave the Starbucks of this world in their wake!

“Great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

Came here for breakfast, the food was awesome (bacon & poached eggs) and the coffee was even better. These guys are doing a great job, great staff, great vibe, great place to chill and enjoy the lifestyle of the town.
