Noisy non private accommodation. Not only paper thin walls but the least peaceful accommodation Ive stayed in for years. Price meets the standard. This is low budget accommodation nothing fancy. Relatively clean and tidy but a time warp decor experience. The best is the very comfortable need mattresses. Not for romantic getaways. Easy access to main beach and walking distance to cbd and cafes. Rear parking. Guest shared laundry. Firstfloor has corridor views of the ocean from the narrow verandah. Probably best option for families to book the six apartment complex and guarantee rest and relaxation. Unexpectantly we had residents start a 21st party at 1.30am till objections and it closed down about 4.30 . Most disrespectful of other tenants in the complex. If there's be a noise bufferzone or barrier between apartments a little party may have been acceptable but not 20 visitors at 1.30am. Just horrendous for guests and management who were not available onsite. We had to sux it up. Noise complaints didnt rate on pol response.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 17 and 15 stayed for 5 nights in prime holiday time in January. We booked only the week before and the owners Tania and Dale couldnt do enough for us.Friends had stayed before so we new what we were getting. We stayed in unit 4 which is on the top floor at the back.Beach views from the balcony.Old but clean and had everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday. The beach is just across the road.Spacious rooms with built ins and the bathroom had a little alcove which gave you extra room.Linen is supplied which is a massive bonus.Everything worked perfectly. The good thing about this place is you can book from a minimum of 4 nights.Dont need to have the standard 7 night stay.Unit 6 upstairs at the front is the prime unit but any of the 6 units would be great.Highly recommended and will definately be back.Dont waste your money on fancy high rises. This is a GEM.

We came up for just one night and would have loved to stay longer! We were here several years ago and weren't sure what to expect! But it was better than we remembered! We stayed in Unit 6- upstairs in front overlooking the Forster Main Beach. The facilities in the room seem to be revamped from previous reviews - it was very
clean, comfortable, and cozy!
Spacious living area with large glass windows, screened to enjoy sea breezes. The two bed room unit had: Two lounges, Large dining table, Breakfast bar,
Well stocked fully equipped Kitchen including a Coffee plunger, fruit bowl, plenty of crockery, mugs, etc. The
Two bedrooms had a queen and 2singles- with extra pillows and blankets, heaters, iron and ironing board. There were many extra touches like a book library, tea lights and candles, vases, and beachie drink coasters. There is a
small balcony overlooking beach so you can also enjoy the view outside. This room is the best in the block and features views in in 3 directions of the coast - overlooking the jetty at the channel and rock-pool for swimming - from the large living area as well as kitchen windows!
We would definitely recommend and will certainly stay again!

Out your door, over the street, and you're at the beach! The building might be dated but it is clean and well kept. For self-catered accommodation it is perfect. It is certainly not five star, but the location outweighs that. Only a 5 min walk in to town as well. I would definitely recommend this place to friends

This is a standard old style beach holiday self caterer. Booked on short notice in high season & was reasonably priced. The manager was very helpful on booking as I had originally enquired about some where else & when he heard I wanted to be within walking distance of a family apt. he suggested this. Great spot for beach, clean, spacious w adequate kitchen, comfy beds w linen & towels provided but not esp. luxurious which I wouldn't have expected as he said it was older style straight off the bat. Has parking per unit at back.

There was a bit of drama in the night with rowdy clientele who were moved on by police the next day. That could happen in any beachy place & didn't particularly bother me. Management dealt with it well.

First day we were there was hottest day  on record so was great to be able to splash about in the natural 'tank' up the hill. Next 2 days were sadly dull & wet so we left a bit early as while functional the short (possibly outside furniture) couch didn't exactly lend itself to lounging around. But it would have been a great base if sunny & you need self catering with kids.

A word on Forster while the food options are limited (never mind if you are a vegetarian!) the shopping is great. Some really nice boutiques & home wares. There's a small grocery store on main drag & a bottleo (off licence) at one end. Big supermarkets outside town on Myall lakes road. Myall lakes at sunset are really lovely. Also some nice cafes in town (well one anyway). Mexican restaurant very family friendly for early sitting - toy box & all. Chain pizza place cheaper than Sydney. Even has a couple of Indian take outs. Local pub while recently nicely done up lacks ambience, has the wrong furniture in the lounge & has very harsh lighting!

Nearby (short drive) One mile beach & Seal Rocks are really nice if main beach isn't to your liking.

An old building housing about six units and not far from demolition given the quality of surrounding accommodation.
The units are comfortable and clean, they have air conditioning but it doesn't work very well. The owners obviously recognize this because our unit had an additional portable air con.
Bathroom, kitchen, and in general all the unit has a fifties decor. There is a tiny balcony out the front, about a metre wide and it is possible to see the ocean. Other than perhaps the front unit there is no ocean view it is only a fifty metre walk to the water (and about 300 metres to the town centre. On the basis of the price we paid, I would consider it good value

Located directly across from Main Beach and Pool, you couldn't get a better location. Reasonable price, maybe a little on the high side compared to quality of other apartments in the area, however, still cheaper. Older Style. Would be very easy for the owners to freshen up the interiors.
Amazing view from the shared balcony.
