Having visited Japan I have to say this garden stacks up well. They have been able to incorporate the local rock as if they are in a real Japanese garden. You really got a feeling you were back in Japan with everything kept in perfect order. Me being a westerner I would like to have seen a Torii out in the park, a pagoda and the zen garden should have been without a window in between. Picky details I know. I really enjoyed the time and the peace of mind. My biggest negative was I did not see the advertised snake. A good thing most people would say. We did not have time to see the war cemetery but the story we read about it was interesting. I like the reason for the garden to be created.

Spent half a day wandering through the picturesque gardens on a sunny day. Plenty of places to sit and look at the views. Koi ponds were very calming. Highly recommended!

What a site! It is just beautifully manicured lawns and thoughtfully placed trees and rocks. Go early if it's hot.

OH MY GOD. From a kids perspective, this was an outing well worth the 2-hour drive. The whole garden was impeccably crafted and styled. The whole was you can work your way around the garden and see every aspect of it like the tea house and bell was quite well designed. The running water in conjunction with the koi and ducks created a nice animal themed view of the park. The bell in the front was there to bring back your ancestors and commemorate their lives. VERY cool. The whole garden is beautiful and I cannot recommend it enough.
