This is a good caravan park with great toilet/shower facilities, great swimming pools and easy access to the river. However we stayed there because it was advertised as pet friendly - even the sign on the entrance says Pets Welcome. However when we arrived, our small little Maltese Shitzu was not made welcome, the lady told us he better not bark all night and then told us in no uncertain terms that the dog was not allowed in our cabin - thats ok but there are NO facilities provided for pets. In the many other 'pet friendly' places we stay, there are water bowls and shelter provided for dogs. So we had no choice but to leave our dog tied up outside the cabin on at 42c day with no shelter, apart from what we could manage to put together with some picnic rugs we had. Advice: DON'T advertise as pet friendly accommodation when you are going to roll your eyes when you see the dog and make comments about the dog barking (even though he didn't) and certainly DON'T advertise as pet friendly accommodation when you don't do anything to make it pet friendly, in fact you make it pet unfriendly and make it clear the dog isn't allowed in the cabin, near the BBQs, near the pools or near the playground - which doesn't leave the dog anywhere to go!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate all comments. We believe we are pet friendly not just for dogs, however, in order to cater for all including non-pet owning guests we must have reasonable policies in place. We disappointed that you did not believe we were sufficiently dog friendly. In terms of the heat 42 degrees is hot however we have 1.5 kms of Murray River with plenty of cool shade and access to swim. We do not supply food or water bowls as we have not been requested for them as travelers with pets usually bring their own.

We stayed here over Xmas-New year down on the river. We didn't need to book which was good. We had a great spot and couldn't see anyone else near us until our last night. Had 2 of our own portaloos.
Went with friends and our 13 month old daughter. The pools were good but even on 30-40 degree days were extremely cold. We had to get our daughter out after 15 mins because she would start shivering. The toddler pool needs to be heated, even just a little bit to take the chill off.
The showers/toilet block were always clean. The water temp wasn't extremely consistent but ok.
Overall the park was very clean and well maintained. It's definitely on our list and we will return. Especially when our daughter is a bit older and can do the daily activities.
Definitely would recommend

Thoroughly recommend this caravan park - had powered caravan site - area kept green and toilet facilities etc very clean
We were there during off season - apparently there are approx 2,000 campers down on the river over Christmas - extra portaloos are put in to cope
Lots of onsite caravans and demountables but away from where we were
River a fair walk through bush
We did not have children with us but swimming pool etc looked good - dogs welcome

Stayed at a powered drive-through site in my camper trailer. Immaculate grounds near the river with a nature trail down to the river. Amenities block was a bit dated but spotless so was very happy with that. They were welcoming of my dog who had a great time himself. A bit of noise from passing trucks in the night but even though I'm a very light sleeper I had no trouble sleeping soundly.

Stayed for 4 nights in campervan. The park was packed out on the first two nights because of an event in corowa, but after everyone left we were offered to relocate to any site we wanted. Nice setting, lots of green grass, big old trees, short wall from river. Toilet/showers clean always, camp kitchen with oven handy if you want something other than bbqs for meals. Pool was great. Would be a good place to bring kids, there is plenty to do (basketball, playgrounds, big grassy areas for footy/cricket, volleyball, table tennis).

Drive through site. Fantastic view of the Murray river. Accessed through private fitness track and trail. Redgum provided for an open fire and the wood fired pizza oven. Camp kitchen in old vineyard building. The perfect relaxed stay.

We stayed here over the Queen's Birthday weekend in June.
We (ignorantly) decided to camp by the river on unpowered sites. No one else (all the smart people) was booked in for unpowered sites so the staff let us have free run and choose wherever we want!! Not only did they come down the 2nd night and give us a bin, they also provided us with extra blankets (thank goodness) and firewood too! They were very accomodating and left us to be for the 5 days!
Although it is about a 500m walk to the shower/toilets (which was clearly explained to us prior to our booking) the scenery down by the river is unmissable. The toilets were always clean and water pressure and temp was good too. Our campsite was far from other guests which suited us perfectly (4 people all under 24 yrs) to drink and play our loud music without disturbing other guests or being disturbed. The only disturbance - COWS! But again, this was clearly explained to us on booking that cows roamed free.
Camp kitchen was excellent, very clean and had plenty of utensils for our usage.
Not that we needed it, but there was great area for kids to play too - playground, tv, books, pool, volleyball net and plenty of grass to play around on.
We decided on doing the Rutherglen Walkabout Winery tour which picked us up and dropped us back off at the caravan park - a huge plus!
Dog-friendly which was a huge plus also, would consider bringing my dog next time.
The cabins looked a little out-dated but still neatly maintained.

Overall I cannot fault. As far as caravan parks go this is one of the best I've experienced. The staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating.
We will definitely return in the near future.

Room Tip: Unpowered sites provide ultimate scenery and great privacy. Highly recommend.
