Very homely hotel. Breakfast around communal table which helps you to socialize with other guests, breakfast is help yourself with good choice.
Bedroom very large, four poster bed, and large wetroom with lots of toiletries.
Very good quirky comfortable hotel.

I visit Coogee fairly frequently with work and have so far stayed at a different hotel each time. The Dive has to be the best so far. Much less commercial and corporate than other hotels in the area. Much more homely and welcoming.

The outdoor courtyard and dining area are refreshingly different. The hotel is very relaxed and only metres from the Coogee Beach or a beautiful 6km walk to the infamous Bondi (highly recommended also). A taxi to Circular Quay will set you back approximately $30.

I hope to stay here again on my next visit. I especially liked the cat Bob and their two dogs.

Room Tip: Save yourself some money and don't get a room with a sea view - The Dive is lieterally 20m from...

great stay here for one night. self serve breakfast around comunual table is a highlight. friendlt staff and able to get into our room when arrived early from airport which made a huge difference as we needed a nap from our night flight. great styly fitout with ply desk and nice blue tiles in our room. right across the road from coogee beach made easy to walk to bronte for lunch around coastal path and 5 mins to main shops in coogee. cost $36 for taxi from airport but more expensive on way back.

We stayed here as a chillax part of a tour up the east coast.

The Melbourne - Sydney train had been travelling slowly so we were delayed on our arrival but a freindly welcome was waiting at 9pm when we did pitch up.

The room was at the front and we had fantastic views of the beach and down the hill into downtown Coogee. We were travelling with a 9 year old and the 2 dogs kept them entertained.

Breakfast was a feast of cereal, toast and a choice of juices, teas and coffee.

We were there over Easter weekend and on Easter Sunday a massive basket of chocolate eggs appeared for all the guests to enjoy.

There were laundry facilities that were perfect to use, beach towels to use on the near-by Coogee Beach and we ate like Kings at a variety of restaurants especially at a Fish Called Coogee and for a meat fix Churrasco and some poshish food at Barzura.

There's ome greats cliff top walks as well one up to Bondi and another down to Maroubra.

In short a quirky, privately owned hotel in great location with a homely feel, like you're staying at a long lost relatives ...

Room Tip: Pay the extra if you are staying a while and get a room with a view !

We reserved one week at this hotel and later booked additional two and one day stays over a period of three weeks.
This turned out to be an ideal location to see our daughter studying at UNSW 10 minutes away, being 20 minutes away from Downtown while at the same time smell the Sea and hear late at night the waves breaking.
This is not a B&B but has the same atmosphere where the owners are always nearby and happy to assist you in answering questions and providing you with local insight.
Yes, the washrooms are very small but the overall amenities are sufficient and quite satisfactory.
We also found out that you get a 10% discount when you are a repeat client.
This is not a Downtown Chain hotel but its charms, great location by the Sea and relaxing surroundings make it a Go To Place when in Sydney.

The standard rooms are very modern and cost with all the latest room ammenities. I love this area of sydney and have stayed at a few other hotels nearby but none make you feel ad though you are at home like the dive does. The kitchen is always available for your use with complimentary gourmet teas, coffee, hot chocolates - nice extra touch I thought. The staff were very caring to me and I will definately be back to stay again. If you like boutique style hotels you will love this one!!
