Another stay at the Crowne Plaza at Coogee Beach. This time I was flying solo. My stay was enjoyable & this hotel has definitely lifted its game since I was last here. I was given the same room as last time. Room was immaculate, bed & pillows as comfortable as ever. Breakfast was great, dinner was delicious although a little pricey but hotel food usually is & plenty of cheaper eateries close by but location is to die
for, especially if you are tired & just want to chill at the hotel. Everything is close by & the view is amazing. Always pay a little extra & get a room with a view, it's totally worth it. The staff are great & very accommodating. Will book for November. Best venue for a stay in Sydney as it is still close to Sydney centre, Bondi beach etc. but far enough away from the city to have a fantastic view of the sea. Do yourself favour & try this hotel, it is worth it.

Dear carmie00

Thank you for returning to Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach. Its especially pleasing to hear that we had made some improvements since your last stay. We do have a fabulous location and I couldn’t agree more that Coogee has much to offer as a location that is not too far from the city but can feel like a world away at the same time.

We look forward to welcoming you back in November.

Kind regards

I booked the Reef Suite for two nights as a birthday present. WOW! In my opinion the Reef Suite has the best view of any room in the hotel. Several amazing features make this worth the extra over a standard room or suite - TWO tolilets, spa bath, storage/dressing room, two TV's, two balconies, corner lounge and LOTS of space. I loved waking up to watch the sun rise over the Pacific Ocean, and never got sick of looking at the view of Coogee Beach and the surrounding area. Parts of the hotel (e.g. balustrades on the balconies) are slightly dated, but this didn't detract from the experience.

Another amazing feature of the hotel is the staff. At both check-in and check-out I was greeted with a big smile, and spoken to in a relaxed, professional and friendly manner.

One thing to look out for if you have a big car.. There is ample parking underneath the hotel (there were always lots of spare parking spots, no matter what time we drove in,) however the curved exit ramp is very tight for big cars. If you have a Landcruiser for example, be prepared for a tricky exit!

Will definitely be staying at Crowne Plaza Coogee again!

Room Tip: Reef Suite! It's beautiful.

Stayed here on business recently, and found the room to be great for business traveler from the USA. Hotel has adaptors for using typical electronics (laptops, phones, etc), but also had a 110 V circuit installed in bathroom for shavers, toothbrushes, etc. Internet was expensive ($29/day) and was the biggest gripe when the room is already $180-$200. On-site restaurants very convenient, though pricey for folks not on an expense account. Concierge was very helpful for nearby reservations at restaurants, and for which buses to catch to go into Sydney. The proximity to Coogee Beach (just across Arden Street) make the location ideal.

Room Tip: Try to get floor 6 or 7 facing east or northeast.

Dear CentreAg

Thank you for posting a review after your recent stay. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Coogee is a great example of a place that is close and convenient to the city and airport yet has a village atmosphere complimented by a beautiful beach located right across from the hotel.

Hope to see you at the hotel next time you visit Sydney.

Dear Rebecca V,

Thank you for your detailed review of our hotel. We certainly apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with your room.

I was disappointed to read that you had a poor service experience when you stayed at our hotel. We will follow up with the executive housekeeper to ensure that similar incidents won't happen again. I am pleased that our staff was able to off set this displeasure with great service. Despite the challenges you faced I was pleased to note that you appreciated the location of our hotel, an aspect of our hotel that is preferred by many of our guests.

Once again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your comments with us. We know you have many choices when it comes to lodging and we hope your future travel plans will continue to include IHG.

On the 11th of Aug my partner and i had our wedding at Blue salt restaurant and hired the terrace for sole use. Claudine from events, i could not praise more highly. Claudine was great with her prompt responses and handy hints and friendly service. Our wedding was attended by 20 guests, 4 kids and numerous elderly family members. The drink service was erratic, and did not cater for the non drinkers. Being a family of mixed cultures, i witnessed the blatant racism as did many of our guests. I questioned the waiter about his attitude, and his response was not appropriate. It was my indigenous son in law of 14 years, that was being discriminated against and his children witnessed this along with many others. At such a small event, my son in law did not deserve the way he was treated, because it was different to every other guest.

I have stayed here 3 times now... The rooms are immaculate, modern, and the beds are comfy!!

The room service is awesome and food is delicious!! (I recommend the chicken, seasonal veggies and mash with honey, soy, ginger sauce!...and the panacotta desert is pretty good too )
Rooms with views overlooking Coogee beach and surrounding areas. Close to shops, cafes and pubs...great pool area! Awesome for a lady of leisure to spend her time...and would be even better for a couples get away.
It is a real treat to stay there and I would come back whenever I get the chance. Staff are professional and helpful and can't fault this place at all!

We recently had the opportunity for a two night visit to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Coogee. The weather forecast was fine but heading for huge storms and a dramatic change in conditions.
The first day was bliss, overlooking the bay, and enjoying the view of ocean, tourists and using the hotel. Coffee downstairs, dinner and relaxation.
Day two brought that dramatic change which was spectacular, seeing the front move through across the ocean and the wind whipping up everything.
Meanwhile, the staff is friendly, efficient and most happy to help. The restaurant food was quite lovely and it was a splendid break.
I was not well, and stayed in the hotel the whole time. Husband walked and bussed and enjoyed Bondi and the usual attractions of the area.
Coogee is a unique place - not far from the city, accessible by bus but the hotel is the real 'crown'. We shall certainly return to that coastal place. ....Crowne on the Coast ...so to speak.

Room Tip: I recommend an ocean view room with a balcony. we faced due east but easily saw the view north. N...
