We tried Fiorenzoni on the recommendation of friends, and had a wonderful meal. The restaurant entrance is on Victoria Ave and in conveniently located for access by both CityRail and car, as there are several parking stations nearby.
We had no trouble booking and were warmly welcomed on arrival. The décor is tasteful modern Italian and the seating was comfortable. The menu is straightforward and easy to read/understand. There were two blackboard special items available, an entrée and a main, which were clearly explained to us.
We both chose Antipasto di mare to start, followed by Arrosto di marale and the blackboard special main (Salt and Pepper Squid), then concluded with Crème bruciata for desert.
We brought our own wine, a Margan 2010 Rose (Shiraz-Saignee), and there was a $10 corkage charge for the bottle. Our bill came to ~$150, which we consider excellent value for the quality of food, service and venue.
The food was perfectly prepared and delicious, while the service was attentive and friendly.
We had an excellent dining experience and will be returning in the future.
