There are not that many restaurants in Cessnock so we thought we would try Indian at Hunter. When we arrived there was 2 people at a table finishing. Then it was only my husband and I and two other people that arrived just after us. So the restaurant was very empty around 8pm. Our order was taken promptly but it took a long time for the starters to arrive. They were very good- papadomes and samosas. We then waited quite awhile for our main courses. The lamb korma and lamb rogan josh were very tasty. When we were finished no check was brought to our table but had to get up and pay at counter. Although the food was good- I would hate to see the service if the restaurant was ever busy. Maybe the service was why it was not busy. If you are prepared to wait, you will enjoy the food.
