We went here on our first night in Airlie Beach as it was part of the Whitsunday Vista Resort that we were staying at. Whilst there are mixed reviews I think it is worth trying as what we ordered was really quite good. We had no issues with the service, the view over the marina was lovely and we had a good meal. The Entrée Platter is definitely worth trying at $20 you get four different entrees per person and is a good way to start the meal. The spicy mince pork was also really nice. It did cost us around $100 but that included our whole meal (which we couldn’t finish as we ordered too much), a beer, glass of champagne (sorry sparkling wine these days) and a bottle of red wine. We even ordered some takeaway one night as we weren’t very hungry and just got the Entrée Platter again. As I said it is certainly worth trying and is a bit different to other cuisines in the area.

First time here at Spicy Thai with friends, it has a great view of the harbor from the balcony.
Upon arrival and a glance at the menu i was quite surprised at how expensive this place is, with the average entrée starting at $10.90 for four pieces of whatever you want.
My friends ordered a beef curry, his partner as well as mine ordered a vegetable tofu dish and i a mixed seafood chilli jam dish.
The meals came out about 8 mins apart and all were luke warm. Sitting at our table we were able to see into the kitchen and see the staff using the microwave to heat up our food. Both me and my mate are both chef's with just under 60yrs combined experience between us, we couldn't believe what had just seen.
The meals were very bland and were not as spicy as advertised in the menu, very sweet infact and the coconut rice was not freshly made. I think the ultimate shock at the end of the night was the Bill $$$.
This is not the best Thai that I've had.

Tasty Thai food with a beautiful view of the marina. The staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed our delicious dinner.

On arrival the waitress barely acknowledged us, pointed to a table in the distance and said that one. No water or even a hello. Got handed the drinks menu with the food menu and less than 3 minutes later she was back to take our order for both. Got the drinks wrong, but we couldn't fault the food. We ordered the Tom yum soup and the clear soup with prawn wonton, then mussaman beef curry and the chillie and basil chicken dish with rice. Very nice food, very ordinary service.

Very rude staff. Worst Thai we've ever had . $45 for a bit of dried overlooked cheap cut pork with iceberg lettuce on the side supposed to be the salad . Fried rice terrible no taste at all hardly anything in it except cheap pack of home brand 3 mix veg . Green chicken curry was the nicest but mostly sauce and very spicy even tho was told it was mild.
