Despite less than ideal weather we had a blast. The two guides on Wild Thing Dylan and Braeden were extremely helpful, polite, accommodating and friendly. The boat trip was a wild ride at times but did not induce any seasickness at all. It's a different experience to being on larger, enclosed boats on other tours where we all felt nauseous and some of us were sick. The snorkelling at Luncheon and Mantaray Bays was amazing! Even better than the outer reef. Much more fish life and heaps of different corals. The only disappointment was that we were only able to spend a very short time at the Northern end of Whitehaven Beach. This was due to the low tide and the swell I believe, making it too dangerous to go there at the appointed time. So we had lunch and a swim at the less interesting Southern end before heading up to the Northern end for a very rushed bush walk to the top of Hill Inlet. I wish we could have had our full time at the Northern beach. There were heaps of fascinating Soldier Crabs in the flats and stingrays in the shallows that would have been amazing to observe for longer. The view from the lookout was still beautiful despite the rain and overcast skies. The little surprises on the way back home were a great way to finish a great day!
