I went along with my mates from Melbourne and a few local boys on a Saturday night. Great outside area for drinks and to enjoy the awesome guitarist/singer who played loads of popular songs for the crowd. He even got my mates up for a singalong. Crowd was a good mix of locals and backpacker types. We went upstairs to eat a few pizzas for an hour but soon found ourselves wanting to go back and listen to more music. Overall, a great way to spend a Saturday night in Airlie Beach. The walk along Bicentennial Walk to this place was also very nice and worth the effort.

Whilst staying at the truly dreadful Club Crocodile (see my review!) we took a walk out along the 'Bi-centenial walk' (breathtaking at sunset) to take a meal at FishD'Vine (see my review), but discovered we were too early for our table as it was their opening night following a bad fire. Went round the corner and stumbled upon the Sorrento where we had a glass of lovely wine which was on special offer. We were out on the reef the following day, and said we would call in for lunch the day after that. The charming waitress offered to seek out a further bottle for us and said she would put our name on it. SO - two days later we turn up for our lunch table; different waitress but, yes, the bottle of wine was there with our name on it. WOW how good when it actually works!!! We were served by a lovely Irish waitress (fancy travelling 1/2 way round the world from England only to be served by an Irish girl!!!) who let us just relax and enjoy a long lunch. Unfortunately our bottle of wine was finished all too soon and the young lady said that was the end of it - HOWEVER she then proceeded to find us an even more scrumptious bottle at the same price...AND I can honestly say that this was THE BEST pizza I have ever eaten; my mouth just exploded with flavour with every mouthful. With the great view, the food, service and wine, maybe not the cheapest place to eat but, it absolutely made our day. After all that wine the walk back was, shall we say 'interesting'! and even Club Crocodile didn't seem so bad. Unfortunately we sobered up by the morning!!!!!!!!

Went to Sorrentos for a night out with a group of friends. Food was very average, nothing special. Lighting was too bright, detracted from the atmosphere and the bar downstairs was extremely noisy so hard to have a conversation. Food is reasonably priced but wine is very expensive. If you went during the day for lunch the view would be fantastic. A great place to start off the evening with a few drinks but would recommend that you walk into town for a decent bite to eat. Would recommend Cactus Jacks, Uber or Fish D'vine when it opens up again.

The food, the service and the wine were all excellent - exceeded expectations for the Airlie area and the location at sunset is outstanding. Thanks!
