Description: Take full advantage of the setting at Tides Restaurant & Bar at Peppers Airlie Beach. Pull up a bar stool or be seated at a table overlooking the stunning Whitsunday Passage. Admire the Coral Sea dotted with islands. The menu is based on local organic fruit and vegetables, fish and prawns fresh from nearby reefs, Queensland scallops, crabs and bugs expertly combined with the passion for food that Chef Gregory Devine is renowned for. The wine list will likewise be excellent. Chef Gregory Devine successfully infuses modern Australian cuisine with Asian overtones. Sourcing regionally, the menu is full of seasonal freshness and features signature dishes like Black Angus beef fillet with exotic mushroom crust and a delicious Valrhona chocolate dessert plate. Tides Restaurant & Bar is open daily from 6.30am to 9pm. Eat in the restaurant or have some tasty dishes delivered to your room.

“More people should find this place”
Reviewed August 25, 2014 via mobile

We feel this excellent restaurant suffers from a perception issue, with people assuming it is expensive. It is not, when you experience the quality, variety and environment it offers. Dish prices are similar to the other better places in Airlie, with the wine per glass list one of the best. We have been here on past trips and did lunch this trip - simple and delicious. It's a bit out of the way but very worth the effort.

“Lovely Meals”
Reviewed August 17, 2014

We had 2 meals with our holiday package and we were very happy with both meals and the service.
Cant really say which meal was the best. First night I had the salmon and 2nd night I had the Wagyu Rump which was absolutely delicious and melted in the mouth.

My husband had the spatchcock first night and also gave it the thumbs up.

We both enjoyed the fettuccine and scallop entree and shared the wonderful pistachio cake.

“Superb!”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

Not only is the food fantastic, the service is also terrific!!! Views are super as well so lunches are a must! Steaks are best in Airlie beach by a long shot and considering the impeccable service, great quality food and the view, the prices are good for a hotel restaurant. We are locals and love coming here to reward ourselves.

“Convenient & Good Food”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Great for breakfast and romantic for dinner. Wine and meal selections are varied with portion and meal offerings to fit most folks. The view is top cabin and bound to please everyone. The wait staff are exceedingly polite and gracious. There are no exterior walls so be prepared with warm clothing if the temps dip much below 20C.

“Great Place. Good Food”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

We dined at Tides twice as part of our accommodation package. Our kids are fussy eaters & the staff bent over backwards to attend to their needs.
Unfortunately there weren't enough staff and lots of walk-ins so despite working like trojans, it was a fairly drawn out meal. Luckily the food was worth waiting for & very tasty.
