This is probably one of the most informative tours we have taken. Steve appeared to know everything about the area and its wildlife. We were picked up at our hotel in Airlie Beach.
We took the croc safari first. We took the boat (with shade) up and down the river. We saw crocodiles almost immediately! Steve knew them all by name, he knew where they liked to hang around. He provided us with humour, facts and information. We were in the boat for about 2 hours and we saw so may crocs, from huge ones to tiny babies!

After a fabulous barbecue lunch under shade, with salads, steak, sausage, chicken & fish, we took a trip around the surrounding grasslands, wetlands and bush in a tractor pulling a train of 4 covered carriages, Before it was time to go home, we were given bush tea and delicious "damper". (bread freshly baked in a pot).

We really enjoyed our day at the Crocodile Safari and would highly recommend it.

We unfortunately had a terrible day for visiting this attraction but it didn't stop the staff being enthusiastic and passionate about the crocs and their surroundings. We saw about 7 crocs all in their natural habitat as well as some 'cute' baby ones too! The BBQ lunch was amazing, delicious and well cooked. The cuppa tea was perfect and needed on this cold wet day. Keep up the good work and I WILL be recommending people to visit you!

We booked this tour as it looked interesting and we were not dissapointed! It had to have been one of the most informative tours we have ever been on. Steve appeared to know everything about the area, its wildlife its ups and downs and the flood levels for the past decade! The day started with a bus trip from our hotel to Prosapine, pleasant enough and comfortable, when we arrived at the location we were met by Steve and his assistant, I think he was called Matt, sorry if I got that wrong, they told us a little about what the day would bring and made us damper and bush tea, a trip around the surrounding grasslands, wetlands and bush in a tracktor pulling a train of 3 carriages followed, Steve never stopped talking once, giving facts and figures about everything we came across, wildlife, flood lands, stopping in various places to enlighten us with facts injected with humour, excellent. We were then treated to a BBQ lunch, the like of we rarely see at home, never mind on a day trip! A bit of everthing, including salads, all prepared by Matt(?) while we were being towed around by the tractor. Next the high light of the day, the croc safari, the boat was lowered into the river and we were all ushered aboard, we had hardly sat down when the first croc was sighted, just meters from the boat launching place! We never realised how many crocs lived in the area! Steve know them all by name, he knew in what area they would likely be and, again, he never stopped talking from start to finish, humour, facts and information flowed from him non stop! We were on the water for at least 2 hours and we saw so may crocs, from big muthers to tiny babies, Steve would spot them from a great distance and we would see them when we were almost on top of them! He knew everything and was not afraid to pass on his knowledge, thanks Steve, and sorry again if I got your off siders name wrong, I'll apologise when we come back, as I will definatally be back!
