“Fish and Rum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

Seafood was fantastic and the 370 rums in the bar kept us coming back each night for a night cap. Teddy, the Rum expert, assisted us in learning about rum and guiding our tastes amongst the huge selection. Forget Bundy, there's a lot more to rum and beautifully tasting rums which you do not need to add coke to drink

“Best Fish ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014

This is the best place in the area for Fish, in fact I do not think I have eaten better anywhere! If you go out fishing on a charter you can also get them to cook your fish for a small cover charge.

“Superb meal, great service, couldn't be better!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

I have just got back from this meal but wanted to post a review immediately as it was so good.

The service was friendly and efficient, the fish was first class, and the crab was so fresh it was delivered while we were sat at the restaurant and cooked immediately.

The rest of the venue (the rum bar) was also brilliant and a great place to retire to after a meal.

Thank you very much indeed.

“A Nugget in Airlie Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014 via mobile

The oddity of going to the bar to place your drink order followed by going to the fish counter for placing the dinner ... and followed by a dessert order is something typical in Australia. As a result my bride and I elected to accept the practice. This aside, the cocktails were imaginative in their creation but expensive. There is a wall-full selection of rums of which could easily make you forget the reason why you are there - dinner. Our dinner orders were tasty, although the fish chowder bread bowl would be enhanced if the bread was made from a tangy sourdough. We shared an apple fritter for dessert which we highly recommend. The wait staff was attentive and polite.
