Whitehaven in the morning and Day Dream from lunch time onwards. Boat trip to WH was good, crew helpful and knew their stuff. Home made scones for smoko after an hour and half on beach was nice. Dropped us at Day Dream for lunch and relax by the pool. Lunch at Bakery is bit limited, would recommend Mermaids instead for an extra $20. Pool bar cocktails very nice. Overall a most enjoyable day!

This review is of Reefsleep (staying on the Reefworld pontoon overnight).

From the start to the finish the staff made us feel like VIPs with a reserved table on the boat, taken to our private room when we arrived at reefworld, and constant (but not intrusive) checks that all was okay.

We had the king size double room and it was really nice - a haven to relax in. The toilets on the pontoon were not opened until the boat had left ensuring that they were clean for us.

After the day guests left at 3ish, we went for a dive and hours of snorkelling on an empty reef until dinner. Such an amazing experience to have the reef to yourself and lots more fish started to appear - we saw a reef shark, giant sea turtle, clown fish, carpet shark, groupers, rainbow fish and lots of others. (Note the sharks are totallly harmless!). As others have mentioned the reef isn't as colourful as some pictures, but there are some areas of colourful coral if you look for them. Some of this is probably down to people knocking or standing on the coral.

Dinner and breakfast were both great with plenty of drinks available, and when back on the boat on day 2 drinks were free.

One thing to watch - our travel agents booking stated 1 dive included in the price, however it seems that the new operator doesn't offer this. They were very quick to sort this for us, but make sure you take your paperwork with you!

We paid for the helicopter ride back to Hamilton Island and that really capped the experience with stunning aerial views onto the reef (and heart reef!) and then a tour of the Whitsunday Islands.

If you love to snorkel in total isolation you'll love this experience. Thanks to all the staff and Cassie in particular for how hard she worked to make it a special occasion for us.

I am absolutely appaulled with the service from this company. I came across the rudest staff I have ever encountered!
One very sad and disappointed customer.

I would rate this excursion 3.5 stars but I think the cruise over to the reef was one of the most horrible experiences ever. For FIFTY minutes, we were rocking and going up and down, to the left to the right. People started getting sick. I thought the prior tripadvisor reviews may have been sightly exaggerated, but I can safely say they are pretty much all true. Once we reached the rockier section of the cruise, people were first getting nauseous and barf bags started making their rounds. Some people were lying on their seats and some were passed out and nauseous on the floor. To the cruise's credit they did warn everyone about this at the beginning of the cruise and had motion sickness pills down on the first floor. I brought some Dramamine with me, and took 1 beforehand, but then had to take another half as I was still nauseous during the rocky part of the trip. When we were arrived there were some passengers on the first floor splayed out over the ground and still sick. Vomit bags filled the trash bins, and during the cruise you could hear people hurling from each floor. Quite an unpleasant experience. On to the reef, we were given wet suits to protect us from the stingers. There definitely were a lot of people in the reef all at once, but it was manageable. Sometimes it felt a little crowded but I tried to go into the sections where there weren't a lot of people. The fish and coral are stunning. So often you are swimming right by the schools of fish, saw several clams as well. The underwear glass boat was nice, saw a couple of big fish, but not much. The best views were through snorkeling. The lunch at the reef was ok. Some chicken legs, pasta, cous cous salad, bread, ice cream. I took the helicopter back to hamilton island thank god! See my review for that experience. If you can afford to fly to the reef, I would definitely do that!

Loved this trip so much. Would recommend this to everyone. Snorkeling the reef was just fantastic, so many fish of so many colours. The coral was amazing as well. Can't wait to do this again.
