The beach was quiet & cosy looking. We went there in January when the temperature was in the low 30's. There is a lot of shade provided by the numerous palm trees. There are a number of restaurants at the beach. A relaxing place to chill for the day. A short drive from Cairns.

Love this little piece of paradise. Only a short trip from Cairns airport which means you can relax in no time. Great hotels and restaurants!
A lovely beach edged by Palm Trees but, unfortunately, not one for swimming due to stingers except in one small designated area. A variety of restaurants and shops are strung out along the road running parallel to the beach.
Pretty place but a little bit overdeveloped now. Lots of big complex Hotels one after the other. Lots of restaurants and people, so if you enjoy plenty of company this is for you. Preferred the more quiet Trinity Beach
Chill Cafe & Beach Almond are two of my new favourite reasons to keep coming back.....Chill Cafe for the best coffee and the best view for breakfast, and Beach Almond has now replaced Choc Dee, as my favourite dinner restaurant - amazing asian food. Other than that, I just love the magnificent and enormous paperbark trees that line the esplanade....
