Liked everything about Palm Cove there was not one thing I disliked about it. The laid back feel of the place was wonderful and every one was so helpful

“A beautiful beach, but very gritty sand, awesome views though”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

This lovely beach is not one we found suitable for swimming, but it is so beautiful. One simply has to see it and walk along the esplanade and the pier.

“Wonderful Little Cove”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Come and spend the day or stay overnight or for as long as you like. Palm Cove beach is a good twenty-five minutes drive from Cairns and well worth a visit. The beach is quite long with plenty of space for everyone, pretty clean and good for a fat burning walk or a cool swim in the water. There is also a jetty there where you can catch the wonderful sunrise or the beautiful sunset or maybe try a hand at fishing from if you wish. The locals go there to fish and swim every other day and generally catch up and you can also see Double Island point right in front of you. I do come up every second sunday or so from the nearby suburb because of the beach and it's a neat little get away. I normally do the long walk into Clifton beach and back as a form of exercise.

There are three star to five star hotels there and plenty of them too, motels, pubs, taverns, a caravan park and so many quality restaurants and shops that you can find almost anything you need there. The food is quite high standard with quite a lot of local and international cuisine served. However do try the Australian fish and chips cooked up in a few of the takeaways on the esplanade there, quite marvellous.

Great atmosphere, great beach in a picture post card of a place. Oh and a friendly reminder, don't forget your camera when you visit.

“Picturesque Palm Cove”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Don't think about swimming - that's probably why this beach is so picturesque (because there are no people polluting it :).
