Cairns is tropical, and at the Sea Temple in Palm Cove they have a huge open area for the Reception and Lobby with no "doors." The internet was free but only available in the Lobby area so we sat there 1-2 times daily checking email and thoroughly enjoyed the breeze, the birds in the palm trees, the sound of the waves, and the down time. Who'd have thought we'd fly so far from home to sit and lounge in a hotel "lobby." The room was very clean and quiet and spacious, we stayed in a studio spa room. We'd have slept with our glass door open (out onto the balcony) but the fruit bats in the courtyard trees drowned out the sound of the waves at night. It was parrots in the morning/daytime hours, but they were much less "squawky" than the fruit bats. Lovely pool areas, beautiful landscaping in the courtyard. The Reception staff were very helpful and polite. A small strip of shops, restaurants, and small grocers is a 5 minute walk away, either on the beach or on the sidewalk. The Cairns Tropical Zoo is directly across the highway from the road that leads down to the resort. I looked at the Spa prices and felt like they were too much, just how I feel on a cruise ship. But if you can afford those types of spa services, they had many to offer. There was not a microwave in the room, but we did store our own drinks in the fridge. The most interesting thing we noted about the room is that there was only one quite small rubbish bin (trash can, waste basket) in the bathroom. Nice bathroom and shower, but there was little light near the mirrors which made application of makeup difficult, almost easier with the light off. Laundry services were not available for those in studio spa rooms, but the Reception staff offered us access to coin laundry machines at their sister hotel in the strip of shops and restaurants only 5 minutes away. We saw many people running and cycling in Palm Cove, and we walked from the Zoo to a mini-mall area about 15 min away, then 30 min to get back to the resort.

Room Tip: I had read online to ask for a room away from the restaurant or away from the area where they hold w...

Dear GramyTnUSA,
Enjoyed reading your recollections of your recent stay at the Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort & Spa.
We are certainly fortunate to have all the unique flora and fauna surrounding the property whilst still being only a short stroll to the local attractions of Palm Cove.
Trust that the rest of your Australian stay was just as enjoyable and we hope you will return again soon.

This is a classy venue with loads of pools so the fact the ocean is full of stingers isn't a worry.

It's a bit of a walk to the main street (5 minutes most) but we found this a great way to work off the 'full from dinner' feeling.

As you would expect in Queensland it's all about the upsell, so as soon as we arrived we were offered a different room for an additional fee. NOTE: if you're offered a different room, take a tour of a few as some of the rooftops are better than others.

The venue is very family friendly, so if you don't like the sound of shrill children then don't stay here but anywhere with self catering kitchens will be much the same.

Room Tip: Compare a couple and if you like a sleep in avoid the childrens pool.

Great location, right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and clean. Town is a stroll away with easy bus access to wherever you wish to go. For us it was a relaxing oasis during our journey. Love it and highly recommended. Staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming.

Stayed with my wife for 6 nights at the sea temple. We loved the resort the staff and the facilities. As a young couple we were definately the minority, with young families being the majority. I can understand why the larger bedroom rooms can easily hold a big family, with all the required facilities, kitchen, BBQ, large bedrooms. The pools are big and well maintained. Our only gripe would be when the kids run wild in the pool, I had a little girl jump straight on my head at one stage, not a big deal kids are kids but they can take over the pools and leave the specially made kids pool empty.

Liked: the staff, buffet breakfast, room size and cleanliness of rooms, bed comfort, the chicken pizza, the cocktails, tropical garden, the warm greeting on arrival, easy accessible parking, late check out

Didn't like: kids running wild in the lap pool, jumping on me ( can't blame the resort though), tv picture quality can be a bit fuzzy.

Room Tip: Studio is good for a short stay 1 bedroom room perfect, great size and space. Get a room up on the 4...

Dear Ijaz81,
Thanks for taking the time to send a review in.
Great to learn that you loved the Pullman Sea Temple Resort and all it has to offer.
The larger apartments are certainly ideal for families and we also have one bedroom options which are great for couples on longer stays as you suggested.
Certainly look forwward to welcoming you back.

This resort never disappoints! The staff provide amazing customer service, and quickly learn your names and make you feel at home from day one. I have stayed at the Sea Temple Palm Cove 4 times in the last few years and have not once been disappointed with any aspect of my stay. This last time we visited in March, we had booked a 2 bedroom apartment, and upon our arrival were informed we had been upgraded to the Villa with our own private plunge pool, and it was absolutely stunning. We will definitely be staying there again. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone stay at the Sea Temple if staying in Palm Cove.

Room Tip: Villa's are great for large families or those travelling in groups.

We returned to Palm Cove without the kids in tow (a four night break) so we decided to stay at Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort and Spa. WOW! What a fantastic Resort. Staff were delightful and friendly (we booked privately online not through the resort and we were not treated any differently to anyone else however we had been advised by the owners to contact their guest relations manager if any problems arose thankfully there wasn't any). We were met at the resort and shown to our apartment. We had a two bedroom overlooking the pool. It had recently been refurbished and was in excellent condition. Loved the on site restaurant, a little expensive but it is a 5 star resort. It was only a short walk to other restaurants and a hotel. Would definitely stay here again as it is a fantastic resort.

Room Tip: We stayed in 205, it had a great view of the pool. Apartments near the restaurant may get a little...
