“Enjoyable but not fabulous.”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment in this complex this time in Palm Cove.
The accommodation was great, I have to say that. It was clean and well appointed.
Check in was OK, but no one offered to take our bags to the room.
The first night we went to the Temple of Tastes restaurant inside the resort its self, the service was pretty bad, we were informed by the waitress that none of the staff had turned up!
My husband had the fish, which he said was wonderful, they had no vegetarian dishes at all on the menu, so I had to be content with 3 side dishes, which were very average.
The resort had very nice pools and and access to the beach was easy.
We quite enjoyed our stay except for the fireworks that went off one evening which were very loud and disturbing, but this was not the fault of the resort, it was next door. On the Saturday night they had a wedding reception which was extremely loud, loud music with the bass turned up really high and yelling and screaming until after 10pm.
If you are considering a stay, just make sure that there are no wedding receptions scheduled during your time there. Otherwise its good

We booked 5 nights at Sea Temple Palm Cove to finish off our 23 days in Australia and had hoped for a more luxurious resort. We had a 2 bedroom plunge pool apartment and whilst the accommodation was spacious and well equipped it lacked quality. The dining table was very marked and worn, the plunge pool was not clean and had a horrible stale smell about it, sliding doors into the ensuite were broken, fridge door broken, floors dirty and general cleanliness not too good, just lots of things which individually are minor but make a big difference to the general level of comfort. We decided to mention our disappointment as if not aware the hotel cannot be expected to remedy. We were very impressed with Arnaud at reception who took note and when we returned next day everything had been addressed. Also Anna was so helpful when it came to making tour bookings and these two people renewed our faith in the hotel. I would recommend the resort if you are not looking for a luxurious quiet break, but it was suited for families with children. However the staff were good, great access to lovely beach, room service food and restaurant outstanding. Overall good resort with room for improvement, but top marks to Arnaud and Anna.

Room Tip: Choose a suite on the outside of resort as many overlook pool and restaurant which is not good for p...

Excellent location and nice pools on site. AStaff are extremely helpful, especially when Kate helped me to book a Daintree tour over the phone the night before we wanted to go. The rooms are a bit basic for the price but the robes and slippers are a nice touch.

We spent a few days at the resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. The reception was very kind and accommodating. They helped us out greatly when one of our tours was cancelled last minute and managed to get us onto another tour of the Great Barrier Reef which was utterly delightful.

The hotel room was very clean, spacious and offered everything one could want. The direct access to the beach is brilliant and allows for a welcome short cut when one wants to venture out to Palm Cove in the evening. We had only a day to enjoy the pool facilities but again these were very well maintained, everything was spotlessly clean and the service good.

Breakfast is okay but one should not come too late or the selection tends to be limited. We also dined at the restaurant once during our stay and the food was lovely, it would just have been nice to see little bit more of it... it was a bit too dark for my liking on the terrace.

The staff is very kind and service oriented and as said whether it was a last minute booking or getting us checked in online for our return flight, a helping hand and a smile were never far away. Should we ever return to Queensland, we will certainly stay at the resort again.

My daughter celebrated her wedding at Sea Temple Palm Cove last weekend. Guests travelled mainly from Melbourne and Sydney. It is the most ideal location for a wedding and reception. A lot of the guests stayed at the Sea Temple and it was great in the days leading up meeting friends and playing with our grandsons in the pools. I must commend Emma, the wedding coordinator, who did a wonderful job in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were made to feel very special. The wedding was on the beach, just a short stroll down from the resort and the reception was in the restaurant. The beach setting was magnificent with beautiful timber chairs from the resort being set up on the sand close to the gently lapping waves. We then had drinks and canapes (that were both delicious and plentiful) in the pool bar whilst the bride and groom went for their photos. The reception room was finished beautifully. The food at the reception was also delicious and the serving sizes were very good. George the drinks waiter, along with the other staff, looked after everyone all night. A few guests have commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to. So yes, I would highly recommend a destination wedding, and I don't think you could go far past the Sea Temple at Palm Cove. Thank you to Emma and all of the staff.

Regarding the accommodation, we were in a private apartment, as was our son and his family. His apartment was top quality, however ours was in need of some repairs and some appliances weren't working so my reveiw for the accommodation does not reflect the praise I have for the staff and the setting for the wedding. The private apartments are not run by the Sea Temple.

We stayed in a penthouse apartment with roof top spa. When we arrived i felt the apartment was dirty and not cleaned well esp the bathroom. It needed a good scrub there was mold, and slime around shower on tiles and floor. There where nail clippings found on basin. Furniture was heavily scrarched and worn. Fridge varied in temperature from hot/cold. Cutlery draw fell apart! We enjoyed our stay but for the money spent i would look elsewhere

The staff are very helpful and the resort is lovely. Short stroll to main street and cafes and beach. We stayed in a 2 bed swim out apartment which was so spacious and very well fitted out - TVs in lounge and main bedroom, spa bath, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer and dishwasher. Only down sides were that our apartment never got any sun at any time of the day. This was so dissapointing as I speciafically booked this room and had imagined sitting on our private deck relaxing in the sun and dipping in the pool when i felt like it. Instead i had to lug my gear to sit at the main pool to get warm. Also, the pool (including the kids pool) was FREEZING - and i mean too cold to even get your head wet. For a resport of this calibre they shoudl heat the pool so its pleasant to swim in. Hardly anyone stayed in longer than a few minutes. Lovely hotel but be very careful which room you stay in - dont stay in swim outs or any rooms on northern side of hotle as they get no sun at any time of the day.
