“Love this place”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We stayed at Peppers Beach Club and Spa last weekend for our third time and loved it once again. It is a very special place for us as this is where we stayed when we got married in Palm Cove 3 years ago. It was lovely to revisit with our little boy.
I can't think of a single thing that wasn't great. We stayed in a one bedroom suite by the serenity pool. A really great room and location.
Brekkie was delicious, the resort staff really helpful, the resort is in a great location, the pools are fantastic - definitely the best in Palm Cove. Amazing for families...but as we have been twice before as a couple it is also a great spot for couples.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at Peppers, Palm Cove on Friday the 4th of October, and we never wanted to leave.

Enough cannot be said for our wedding coordinator Lizzie. In the months leading into the wedding no enquiry went without prompt reply and nothing was too much to ask. Throughout our time staying at Peppers we couldn’t fault Lizzie’s professional, positive and energetic approach to everything she did. We were also blown away by all of Pepper’s other employees we had the pleasure of coming into contact with. The ladies at the reception, the bar staff, the chefs, everyone made us feel valued and provided immediate help whenever it was needed.

We stayed at Peppers for five days and loved every minute of it. Our penthouse room was spacious and we enjoyed the use of our private rooftop terrace. Our guests certainly enjoyed the use of the swim-up bar and the breakfasts were fantastic with great variety.

The only ‘hiccups’ that we had along the way was the air-conditioning was not working well in my parent’s room where we were getting ready on the day (Lizzie got a service man in very quickly but there was little he could do at the time) and another guest at the resort unfortunately triggered a fire evacuation during our ceremony. This however was completely out of Pepper’s control and Lizzie handled it all calmly and professionally, and the second time went off without a hitch.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this venue and Lizzie to anyone considering getting married in Palm Cove. We can’t wait to head back for our anniversary in 2014.

Dear Alahna85,

Thank you so much for your feedback, the team are glad you had a great wedding with us!

Lizzie and our entire team understand weddings and appreciate how special they are for all involved.
I was very pleased how the team calmy managed a full fire evacuation and was also impressed to see you and your brides maids having photos with the fire crew!

Thank you for understanding of the situation.

We look forward to seeing you for your anniversary.

Best regards,

Chris & team

After much research regarding where we should stay in Cairns - we came across this place.

Pool was great, there was a swim up bar where you could get drinks and food

Restaurants were also great
Provided breakfast had a wide selection, and I have never had breakfasts better than what I have consumed at the Peppers resorts.

If your going to Cairns be sure to stay at this hotel.

I stayed here for my friends wedding. We got a free upgrade on arrival to an ocean view room which was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and the room was clean. The hotel is very children friendly, which is great - unless you want to find a spot around the pool!

The pool did have a swim up bar - however it shut at 5pm (even on Fridays and Saturdays). The bar was great though with great cocktails.

One downfall was the aircon was not strong enough for the size of the room it was meant to be cooling (in the penthouse suite). We called reception and they had people come and look at it but there was nothing they could do. The rooms don't really have curtains either, just wooden slats covering the windows so daylight woke us up early!

I got a spray tan at the day spa. The ambience was lovely and the staff were wonderful - the tan itself was not great, however I didn't have high expectations from such a lovely day spa - I'm sure they specialise in facials and massages!

Overall we had a great stay. Palm cove is a little oasis away from cairns!

Room Tip: Ocean view all the way - this way you are not looking into the internal area which is very busy!

Enjoyed our stay, but found the spa room very small, with no view at all only of a tall bush, stayed for 3 nights but never once got a pool side lounger all taken by 8am every morning, most people reserving up to 6 for their children who where in the pool most of the day,did approach the subject to reception, but were told not to come in school holidays,my husband and I found this disappointing as this was the only time we could get a break from work and paid the same amount of money as everyone else, good job the beach was across the road, which was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Peppers in Palm Cove.
Great things, looking out over the pool in the evenings, waking up to the freshness and bird calls in the mornings, letting my 5 & 9 year olds run around in a very family friendly pool and otherwise enjoying our time in the well appointed apartment.
The minor irritation was the annoying habit of people reserving multiple pool side lounge chairs even when there kids spent all the time in the pool. The lack of free Wi-Fi was surprising and seemingly penny pinching but this was offset by the excellent breakfast and free coffee pods.
The location is great so all in all a great place to stay and one we would come back to.

First time at peppers palm cove. We booked with raine and Horne which was much cheaper but did not include cleaning and other extras. On arrival we were very impressed with the location and look of the hotel. The pool area looked fantastic and location is perfect within palm cove. The rooms are a great size and well kitted out. During our 1 week stay the hotel had x3 wedding receptions. Our room didn't over look the pool which as it turned out we were very glad of. Our friends room did over look the pool and they were kept awake during the wedding receptions.
The sun loungers were taken on every morning by 7am every day and staff didn't always put out umbrellas for shade unless asked repeatedly .
Overall I would stay again but ask about wedding receptions/ functions and get a room that isn't near the conference centre.

Dear Terriyull,

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it.

We have three large pools on site, and it is with this in mind that the business from time to time allows pool side weddings and functions. The majority of resorts in Australia that I am aware of host functions from time to time.
We sincerely endeavour to balance this integral part of our business with our guests expectations and thank you for your understanding.
