Great place to go for a pre-dinner drink (or two). Staff are incredibly friendly and very attentive. A must-stop for anyone who rates good service.

We had drinks late one afternoon and sat outside in the sun. It's right on the street & is good for people watching.

They have a happy hour from 4pm for two hours and the cocktails very well priced. We didn't eat there but the food looked very good on the table beside us.

We had lunch and breakfast here. The decor is like a 1970's throwback, but kind of cool....kind of.... the coffee though is the best in palm cove by miles, the only decent coffee we tried (hence the return visit). Breakfast (mexican eggs and ham/cheese/pickle toastie was very good and lunch (chicken wrap/ chicken burger) ok. It was fresh but basic, like everything in Palm cove, a bit overpriced. Service a bit hit and miss the first time, bang on the second. Of all the places we tried for breakfast / lunch I'd recommend this on to others.

Thank Richie H

Some girlfriends and I chose to have lunch here today (we are local to Cairns - I had walked past this place in the past..), and we just were blown away by everything, the weather was stunning, the atmosphere was the service was amazing and accommodating (we wanted things a bit different to the menu). We enjoyed cool calm and relaxed atmosphere with delicious cocktails and fabulous food. Will definitely recommend, and we will probably revisit too !!

We were on holidays and stopped for lunch at The Rising Sun, and had Tiger Prawn and Avocado Rice Paper Rolls, absolutely beautiful, so fresh, with a dipping sauce that was like we hadn't had before, just fantastic, also had their homemade chips and they were fantastic too, so much nicer than the ordinary chip you get everywhere. Service was a little slow, but staff was friendly and food was excellent. Would go again if we were in the area.
