When we arrived, didn't have a booking and restaurant was FULL on a Tuesday night - which is always a good sign. They couldn't have gone out of there way anymore to fit us in.

Being early August, it was a little cool at night, but the only table. Once our mains arrived, they moved us to a indoor table, which again was no issue.

We had the mussels and calamari for entrees and green curry and bara (fish) with mash for mains. Loved them even if a little rich for our tastes.

The tiramisu was more than enough for two (maybe even four given how rich it was) Extremely tasty though.

Great night, great service, great food and good wine choice. Will be back.
Thanks again for fitting us in and moving us without hassle.

Thank NZBred

Great atmosphere, nice food presentation and fair prices...the fish I ordered was fresh and delicious. We didn't have a reservation but the owner was kind enough to find us a nice table outside on the balcony. A very delightful dinner!

We have dined out in Palm Cove all week and this one definitely stood out from the others. A pleasant surprise! Menu offered much more variety. We had the Phanang beef and prawn which was mouth watering. Very flavoursome and aromatic. I make my own curry pastes and am quite the critic on curries. we are going back for the barramundi tomorrow. Love this place.

Never disappoints, living in Palm Cove we continue to support the local restaurants and Colonies is a definite favourite we frequent regularly. if you love your garlic bread etc try the Chermoulah Bread, has just the right flavours and just that bit different; Seafood is most always my choice and will generally have the barramundi, prawns and bug on really good mashed potato, my husband has tried pretty much everything on the menu but one of his favourites if the Beef and Prawn Phanang, I always have a taste test and yes the flavour of the sauce beats the local Thai restaurants hands down, service and food and wine choice fantastic, have lots of menu choices and we think very reasonable priced....

We had dinner in this restaurant one night and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant can really present their dishes well. In fact it was some of the best designed plating I've seen in a while. It is well worth checking this restaurant out!
