An easy walk, choice of several paths, nothing strenuous, but some beautiful scenery. Reasonable entrance fees.

We went late evening and found it quite accessible, I wore my crocs and managed easily. The colours kept changing as the sun was setting - very lovely.

We visited this small national park after a wonderful stay in the Purnululu National Park (PNP), home of the Bungle-Bungles. It was a mini version, and so really accessible and interesting, if you weren't able to make the 300km round trip from Kununurra to the PNP. Good local cultural information on display and some of the distinctive natural formations (on a very small scale).

The Mirima Nation Park is on the outskirts of Kununurra and is an easy drive there on bitumen. If you park your car just outside of the park boundry and walk in you can avoid the cost of a parks pass. There are several easy walking tracks and these take you past small hills and rock formations that resemble the Bungle Bungle Ranges in minature. You can climb up a couple of these hills via some walking tracks to get views of the countryside around town. Worth doing if you've just gotten into town and good for sunset viewing.

With hindsight we should have made this one of the first places to visit on our trip to Kununurra. It is only a couple of kilometres from the centre of town and it is such a wealth of information. It also offers a very spectacular walk.

It has a great flora walk (board walk for most of the way so wheelchair friendly) with very informative signage that tells you about the plants and indicates what the local indigenous people used the plants for.

It would be very helpful if the Park published this information in booklet format and made it available at the Kununurra Tourist Information Centre as we found it very hard to buy a field guide to the local flora, and we were frustrated that the majority of our tour guides did not have a clue as to the name of the plants.
