Owner description: Triple J Tours have been offering one of the longest river cruises in Australia between Kununurra and the Ord Top Dam at Lake Argyle (a distance of 55km one way) for over 26 years. Cruising on a section of the Ord River known as Lake Kununurra, Triple J Tours will have you admiring spectacular scenery, flora, bird life, crocodiles and flying foxes all from the comfort of one of their vessels aptly named ‘Peregrine’, ‘Harrier’ and ‘Osprey’. Fully shaded and with toilets on-board, these vessels cruise the river with ease and are ergonomically constructed so as to cause as little damage as possible to the river bank. Touring options can include a 70km coach transfer Kununurra to Lake Argyle (or vice versa), a magnificent cruise, a tasty buffet lunch at a riverside camp and/or afternoon tea. A commentary is provided on not only the flora and fauna, but also on the nature and history of the mighty Ord River.

The most breathtaking 55km river trip you will ever take. Run by a very professional and knowledgeable company that provides every bit of information about the waterways and Kununurra you could imagine and then some. The Pumpkin scones are the best you will taste and everyone leaves the cruise feeling like a friend

Thankyou Lee for your very kind review. Our talented cook does make the most delicious pumpkin scones and we are glad that you have been able to enjoy them. I will make sure that the ladies continue to drop them by next year!

I would strongly recommend Triple J tours. We did the sunset cruise and it was without doubt a highlight of our time in Kununurra. Triple J were very professional, with an excellent tour guide who shared so much knowledge about the water and the region. We saw lots of wildlife (pelican, crocs, wallabies, birds) and the reflections on the water was amazing. Drinks, tea/coffee and afternoon tea provided, with a nice stop approx mid way where we got off the boat and enjoyed a break and bite to eat in the cool. It was a relaxing day and worth every $$. Would strongly recommend. Our tour guide Dylan was exceptional- he opitimised excellent customer service. Very easy to speak to and super knowledgeable.

We did the cruise on Ord River as part of an APT tour in the Kimberley. It was just stunning to see the scenic river valley with all the beauty of the wetlands and red rocks. But Jeff made the difference - his brilliant eyes spotted so much wildlife. And with all the stories about the area and its people it was very educational but easy to digest. As we did the sunset tour we experienced a magic sunset on the water with all the fantastic colours and reflections in the water. A must do in Kununarra.

Jeff's skills of spotting wildlife are quite amazing and he has had many years of practising this! We are glad you got to experience the sunset, it really does make it more spectacular seeing it on the river. We wish you many more enjoyable travels!

We are just back from the Kimberley and, like other reviewers, thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We had the afternoon voyage - bus trip, Durack House and the dam - as part of an APT 13 day bus tour. We enjoyed the boat trip, the afternoon tea and, particularly the skipper's knowledge and insight. As it was include in a bigger holiday, we do not know how much the boat trip cost. Highly recommended.

When we thought we were going to spend the afternoon on the boat we were wondering what we were going to fill in the afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised to enjoy a informative action packed afternoon. Make sure you bring a long lense camera to enjoy the wildlife. Not to mention your appetite for afternoon tea.

A great way to spend the afternoon.
