Booked a room last minute , only £68! Very clean well equipped room with everything I required. Brewers Fayre restaurant attached which was great for a late dinner. If I need to stay over that way again I’ll certainly choose here .

For great value and convenient access to Whitehaven, the Cumbria coast and also the Lake District this is a lovely hotel to stay. Distant sea views from the front patio and countryside surrounding. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant on site - fast food but convenient with children. No complaints at all.

The hotel is located in a village just outside Whitehaven called Howgate and is on a b road so is really lovely and quiet. We had a room overlooking fields, a farm and sheep. We also had a view of the sea from our room so it could not have been nicer. Close to Ennerdale, Parton beach,Keswick,Cockermouth, St. Bees so plenty to see and do. Restaurant next door had a great value meal deal to boot so this added to the experience. A must for those who prefer Cumbria off the beaten track.

Excellent value accommodation in Whitehaven. Handily located for visits to North Lakes, Keswick, Cockermouth and Bassenthwaite. Room was clean, tidy and well serviced for our second night. Will be back.
