Very clean and tidy room and very friendly staff which makes all the difference. Great location for the purpose of our trip which was to climb scafell pike. If we ever decide to do this again would definitely be staying at the premier inn Whitehaven:)

Just what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Exceptionally clean, modern and friendly staff. I was given room 41 on arrival which had a view of a wall. I asked to change and was given a family room overlooking the fields of sheep which was much more pleasant
Such a shame that there aren't more Premier Inns in Cumbria!
Top tip, don't use the Brewers Fayre next door. The food is bog standard and the staff are atrocious (see my separate review).

Premier Inns are few and far between in Cumbria, which is a shame as the area has so many tourists during the course of a year. This hotel is situated just two miles from the town centre and features a large car park with easy access.
As it has been recently refurbished, it comes with the standard large screen television, always a big plus when spending time in your room. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided a great service throughout my stay.
The room itself was up to the normal Premier Inn standard, very clean and tidy, with a large comfortable bed and selection of pillows. All in all, highly recommended.

Can't complain about the room, it was immaculate. Only problem was the heating - it was too hot, had to knock the fan on & off numerous times. Did not have a good sleep because of it. Service was great though and seemed like a friendly atmosphere. Good value.

We were a group booking and the staff made an extra effort to ensure we could all eat together even though I was kind of late in booking our table. They really went that extra mile for us and were so friendly and nothing was a problem.

The rooms were just what you'd expect and very clean which is what is important to me.

I'd certainly take a group back there, good pub grub at a great price, decent clean rooms and fantastic staff what more do you want from a hotel!

As is usual with this chain of hotels the greeting was warm and welcoming . The room with wide screen T V was one of the best I have been allocated. The furniture was in good order and lacked tiredness characteristic of some institutions. The soap dispenser needed a top up in the bathroom but this did not hinder too much one's ablutions.Breakfast at Brewer's Fayre was comprehensive although I prefer cooked to order for full English..Nonetheless another winner for Premier Inns.
