We got here at 8:00pm. We couldn't easily find this place because poor lighting around here. When we asked to front desk lady about the hotel room available, she was just leaving. But she took care of us. She was very kind and she can speak English well. Only one room available. We were lucky. Room was good. Full kitchen, Clean bed room and bath room. We could take a shower with warm water. Breakfast was very good. I will be back here next time.

The hotel consist of two bedroom villas or studios. The villas has a full kitchen, and this place is meant for you to bring food to cook or buy it locally. Purchased food to prepare at local market which had pretty much everything. Then went to the beach and bought fresh lobster and shrimp. We had a feat for 8 people and gave food to the local crew after. There are three pools to relax in and only 2 min from the beach. The staff is really friendly and they do have a restaurant on the premises but most people order out or cook from what I can tell. We had a two bedroom villa and two studios and we loved it. They are clean and with good AC. I loved Las Terrenas, great food and night life. Already looking forward to going back and staying here.

Room tip: Bring or buy stuff to cook. Villas have full kitchens. Or order from the pizza place. The bar has the menu, pretty good pizza for a small town.

The villas are still lovely and the grounds beautiful, but some updating is needed. The kitchen sink leaked but was fixed promptly. There is very little silverware, knives, or cooking pots. Although my reservation was confirmed, my casita was occupied when I arrived. I was moved 3 times in 3 weeks. Standing water is a problem which produces millions of mosquitos. Elvira, the manager, is very helpful, but she is the only non French speaking person there. The location is ideal for restaurants and access to beaches and stores.

Room tip: Lots of options- close to bar and big pool, or in a little house, quieter and more private.

Villa Mariposa is located right in the heart of Las Terrenas and just a 5 minute walk to the beach, Pueblo de Pescadores where are restaurants, bars, grocery store, and shops. The villas are very clean and the staff is very friendly. There are a lot of places to go. so I´d preffer to stay in Villas Mariposas than in all inclusive hotels, You can go to the Las Terrenas beach, Playa Bonita, Cascada del Limón... and others great places.

The villas are clean, close to the beach, on beautiful landscaped grounds. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. There are fresh baguettes in the morning and shrimp to buy and cook in your kitchen if you want, and even dancing on some evenings. We stayed in a 2bedroom casita for 3 weeks that is part of villas Mariposa called villas Paloma.I hope to rent it for 2 months next year!

Room tip: Do you want sunrise or sunset? Either is great.
