“One week in Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2011

I found the hotel on internet. The hotel is just heaven on earth. The location is just wonderful and really peaceful because there's no other hotel or resort on the area just the Jashita and its 15 rooms. The rooms are just perfect: private big terrace, amazing view (one of the best view I've ever had), modern and comfortable decoration with so many beautiful details. The food is so good (healthy breakfast, huge and delicious fish of the day, pasta with lobsters....) and the service is really helpful, efficient and kind.
The beach is paradise and the snorkeling is so exciting! You can swim by your own into the reef or go by the reef with the boat of the hotel.
But if you want also to discover the area the location is perfect because you're 15 minutes drive for everywhere: the ruins, the caves, the Tulum center etc...
And the owners of the hotel are an italian family who makes you feel at home.

We loved this place. We stayed for five nights in an ocean view room which was spacious and elegant. The food was outstanding with wonderful, full breakfasts every day and good local fish for supper at night. Thomas and his family are wonderful hosts. The beach front is lovely and the property is planted with lots of palm trees and other tropical plants so that there is lots of greenery and plant life around the pool. The interior is italian and minimalist with a kind of Balinese influence. Lots of comfortable sofas and a well stocked bar. The staff are super friendly and we had lovely drinks on the beach, swam out to the reef (the hotel will supply you with flippers and a mask). We explored the ruins at Tulum and went diving in an amazing underground cave. We would go back any time.

Anyone looking for a truly relaxing holiday in the sun, on one of the most beautiful beaches imaginable, in total comfort, with great food and personal service, this is the plact to stay. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week after New Years and cannot recommend Jashita enough.

It is set at the northern end of Soloman Bay which is protected from the waves of the open sea and full of coral and tropical fish. There are no neighbours or hotels near by so it feels like you have a private beach. Tulum is only ten minutes away and the hotel will organise taxis for you if you want a bit more activity, particularly at night. The size of the hotel (only 8 rooms), quality of the decor and the personal service makes it feel very exclusive. This place does not attract your typical 'club med' tourist.

A typical day at Jashita:
Each day I would wake up, look out at the ocean from our private balcony, walk downstairs jump striaght into one of the hotel kayaks, take a leisurely paddle out into the bay, go snorkelling with tropical fish and then come back to an amazing breakfast. Then it's mojitos on the beach and amazing food at the restaurant. The rooms are total luxury, we even had our own plunge pool on the balcony.

The hotel runs scuba diving courses from the hotel and tours out of the bay to explore the outer ocean.

Great place for a honeymoon or if you wanted to relax with a few friends. Guests were a mix of all ages and nationalities..even a pop star. If you want lots of action stay in Tulum but if you want relaxation and luxury then this is the best hotel in the area and Tulum is only ten minutes away so you can get in for the odd big night out.

Thankyou to all the team at Jashita for a truly memorable holiday, hope to return soon

Our stay at Jashita was absolutely perfect for us. We have travelled all over the world and stayed in many different types of accomodation. We loved the peaceful location and yet there is lots of things to do and see in a close proximity. We had a car so it was easy for us to get around. If you love big all inclusive type hotels then this is not the place for you. It is the opposite of that...which for some of us is a really good thing. We loved how quaint Jashita was and beautiful...from the rooms (we stayed in a superior deluxe suite) to the pool to the beach. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning out by the beach. The food in the restaurant was very good. We loved going for walks down the beach (sometimes joined by Max, the owners very sweet golden retriever), snorkelling or kayaking in the calm waters of Soliman bay.

Looking for a relaxed and luxury vacation, with personalized yet unintrusive service, and attention to detail that most high-end hotels can only strive for? Look no further!! My husband and just I spent some unforgettable 2 weeks at Jashita. The hotel is nestled in beautiful Soliman Bay, the only hotel there, and pampers guests with stylish and tastefully decorated rooms, impeccable service and some excellent food. We had the Ocean suite and were greeted by a box of chocolates and a bottle of chilled white wine (!) at arrival. The Italian owners, experienced restauranteurs, are the heart and soal of the operation and it shows! They add a sense of dole vita to the Mayan Riviera and provide a warm welcome to the wary traveler. Definetely worth a return visit!

We spent a real good time at the Jashita in Tulum. Its a lovely place to stay and relax near the beach with a incredible reef were you can practice several acuatic sports and have fun. The rooms have a minimalist architecture with a splendid sea view. The people working there give us a great service were you can feel as home. Sahara restaurant offers an italian menue that you can not miss.
We wont doubt in coming back and spend another vacations at the Jashita Hotel.

Dear all,
after many trips in Asia, Maldives, etc.....I have finally listened my wife and for the last Xmas we went to Tulum. My first time in Mexico and I have found a paradise ..the Hotel Jashita.
Is not very big, but is just perfect...you will feel like at home, pampered by the Itaiian hospitality. If you intend to go there let's book in advance, but if you don't find the rooms, you still need to go and eat at the Sahara Restaurant Cafè. The food is excellent and if your are lucky you can get from Tommaso the best Spaghetti in the world...the most simple dish but just amazing...

Trust me - Robert
