“A Lovely Stay in a Stone Tower House of Mani”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Upon arrival you are welcomed by the kind family who were our hosts for five nights. Always available for tips, maps and suggestions as well as leisurely chats about life in Mani. The location is spectacular and set amongst the quintessential rugged rocky landscape. A great base to really explore the peninsula. The hotel was beautifully restored and the stone just glows (even in February when we visited.) The rooms are spacious, incredibly clean, super cute amenities and the showers were amazing (including the tiles!) The meals were lovely, especially breakfast was over the top! You can feel the wonderful sense of pride and passion of the family that run this beautiful hotel.

Four of us, wife and a couple friend, stayed at Citta dei Nicliani for five nights in February. What a wonderful little hotel. Our rooms were spacious, clean, decorated nicely, and very cosy. The bathroom had a large shower with nice amenities.
the owners, Ilias, Tanya, and son Panos were wonderful hosts. Tanya made a breakfast fit for kings, the yogurt with honey and various jellies was outstanding, pastries, eggs, meats were also available and good. Ilias' dinners were basic Greek home cooking and very tasty, i thought his soups were all very good.
The owners are very sweet, generous, and helpful. Each day they had good ideas for day trips and tips on enjoying the area. My birthday was celebrated while we were at hotel, Tanya made me a special dessert we all appreciated. Overall a very nice place to spend time in the Mani Peninsula of Greece.

About a month ago I visited Hotel Citta dei Nicliani located in the region of Mani in Kita village.I was welcomed by the owners, a lovely family who were always around when I needed something. The hotel provides a 24/7 service with free internet access, a beautiful landscape with a view of mountains and tiny villages. I would recommend room No.7 (named Timeless) which has a spacious terrace where I watched stunning sunsets. The room was extremely clean and classy. Breakfast is served on a platter with various tastes of local foods, handmade jams, bread and dairy products. I was also very pleased with dinner platters .. you must try fresh swordfish excellently cooked by the owner. Since Citta dei Nicliani is located near villages it is worth visiting Aeropolis and Diros Caves. You have many options in Mani and this hotel is a grate place to have a relaxing holiday. I will be back soon !!

Room Tip: Go for Timeless room No.7..has a lovely terrace with a wonderful view !!

This was out second stay at Citta Dei Nicliani (xmas holidays this time), as we knew we had to come back after staying some days during summer. The hospitality was again fantastic, thank you Ilias, Tania, Zaira and Pan! Our room again lovely, the diners superb, the breakfasts sumptuous. The beautiful nature in combination with the historic building, fantastic service and fabulous meals make this a place to return to on a regular basis for us!
All best wishes for 2913 and see you again soon. HM&E

It is an over 200-hundred year old residence, perfectly renovated as a pictoresque hotel. The owners have succeeded in respecting the monument and providing all the luxuries of a contemporary hotel. We stayed only one night, so we didn't have enough time to enjoy the garden. If you prefer breathtaking vistas of the nearby plateau, try the upper rooms, if you like something more spacey and unique try rooms 2 or 5.
Koita village, although small, worth having a stroll and lies in the middle of the region between Areopoli and Tainaron, arguably the best in Mani.

We visited the place on the last weekend of March and we are planning to revisit this exceptional hotel. A great example of traditional architecture combined with unique decoration provides the sense of privacy and relaxation. Zaira the young owner is setting high hospitality standards and service is overall very satisfying. Last but not least, breakfast is one of the many reasons that this hotel is worth visiting.

From the moment we arrived we had a warm welcome and throught the stay we felt this is Greek hospitality at its best!!! The entire family is involved and keep very high standards in customer service.
Breakfast is superb with freshly sqeezed orange juice, local products and specialities served in the cosy yard in front of the house.
Close by there is a superb local restaurant and a trip for dinner and drinks in Aeropolis is a must!!!

Room Tip: Top room has magnificent views from private terasse!!! Although the room is small, it has all amenit...
