On holiday late night arrival but was quick to wake up when I heard the price $$$$ This place wasnt worth the cost its three rooms a crappy TV a bathroom two bedrooms. Keep driving.... We were on our holiday which has stretched across lower BC. The only time I paid this much it was a very classy room this was a mediocre room at best at the cost of high price. Save your money keep going you can do it. Looks cheap online but they get you in the small print beware they charge $15 per kid over 3yrs of age first time we have ever been charged that.

Impeccably clean, comfortable and adequately spacious motel close to Pemberton and near enough to Whistler, without the exorbitant prices charged! Quiet location with a lovely view out of bedroom window of the mountains near by and hanging flower baskets - couldn't be better! Warning- don't close the bathroom door - it was a problem in our room - we got locked out of the bathroom at night because someone previously in the room must have activated the latch---easily resolved once the owner turned up, but very annoying at the time!

Room Tip: Choose a downstairs room if you have mobility issues -and check the bathroom door to make sure it doesn't lock!

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Hitching Post Motel. The room has been very nicely renovated. The bathroom has the deepest bathtub we've encountered so far in our two weeks in B.C., complete with nice new fluffy towels. The King size bed comes with quality pillows (only two, but more may have been available, we didn't ask as we were travelling with two pillows of our own). It has a well stocked kitchenette and a new TV with lots of satellite TV channels. Wifi connection is fast and consistent. A very nice stay!

Good value for the money. Retro motel style but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Liked the separate bedroom with twin beds for the kids. Considering how close it is to whistler and the beautiful setting, I'd say this was a reasonable option for a budget conscious family stop.

We needed somewhere affordable to stay near Whistler. This motel had very little information about it, but we gave it a go. It was surprisingly good considering the price in this area. We payed $10 more for a 'renovated' room and it was clean, good condition, huge comfortable new bed, everything new. It is outside Pemberton with little else around so not a good option if you can't drive. But it's only 20 or 30 minutes north of Whistler and pretty much the cheapest option we could find.
The most useful thing is that the kitchen unit was fully furnished like a proper kitchen, with tons of utensils and pans etc. and although you had to pay a little more if you used it, ($8?) it could mean a really really good option for people not able to afford Whistler prices. Definitely not for anyone wanting luxury but it's a warm room, kitchen, big bed and a big TV for people tired from all that snow.
Like other motels in BC, the walls are badly insulated so you have to pump the room full of heating, but it heats up quickly. The guy running the place was nice at first but got annoyed with us when we couldn't work how to lock the door. I can't vouch for what state the non-renovated rooms are in...

Room Tip: Renovated rooms!
